I don't know if he'd like me to say for what specifically, so I'll leave the spilling of the proverbial beans up to him, but rest assured it is very 'congrats' worthy.
Speaking of spilling the beans, stay tuned for two of the most exciting news releases of 2006 (aside from Brian's news, of course), though I have no idea when such news will be available in a 'confirmed' format for your consumption...

I wish i could take credit, but we got engaged before the regular season ended. I just thought that Dean knowing what a big Mets fan would be congratulating me on a great win yesterday (that i was at, for the record). Hey, i rooted for Edmonton in the Stanley Cup b/c they are Canadian...

You're not going to wait for the Core 2 Duos? They're supposed to be released by the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. I've been waiting to buy a Mac Pro for a while and now that I'm ready I'm stuck waiting. I hate waiting. But for a Core 2 it might be worth it. Still, I'll congratulate you anyway. Isn't the Mac Pro they released a month ago what you are referring to? It says "Two 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon "Woodcrest" processors." Or you can get two 3.0GHz.

BTW, if you were signed up as an apple student developer you get some pretty nice discounts (assuming you can verify your student status and that they don't mind giving it to someone outside the technical/software/hardware development realm). Saving me about $600, if I ever get around to buying it. :)

What does an apple student developer do? I get a standard student discount but not more than 10% or anything. |

A student developer is someone who's developing applications (hardware or software) for Mac, whether for themselves or for the internet. It's their way of trying to encourage people to develop Mac apps.
