I'm not sure this song connection has ever been discussed. Bonny Doon Vineyards in Santa Cruz has a red wine blend called "Le Cigare Volant," and the story behind the wine is as follows: In 1954 the village council of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (do I hear House of the Pope?) was quite perturbed and apprehensive that flying saucers or "flying cigars" might do damage to their vineyards were they to land therein. So, they passed an ordinance prohibiting the landing of flying saucers or flying cigars in their vineyards. That's an edit from the back of the bottle. The wine is excellent although it has only "5 kisses" not "13" like the traditional Ch.du Pape, but it's in that style.
