the marquee theatre website says w/Reid Paley. Does anyone know if this is the full band, or an acoustic show with Reid Paley?

thanks!

This is the Kick Off of his tour with his full band.

I can't wait to go.

I already have my tickets.

at the risk of repeating myself, and I don't know how easy it is at some of these venues, but it would be great if people would take oodles of photographs and upload them to the fb.net photogallery. Morgan, I'm counting on you ;)

Great show.
Frank came out doing the solo acoustic thing, announcing the opening act--Kentucky Prophet couldn't be there because a band member was in jail, so he was going to open the show. Sadly, there couldn't have been more than 50 or 60 people in the theatre when he started. VERY intimate for the lucky ones in attendance though.
Solo set:
1 Cactus
2 My Life is in Storage (stopped before finishing, drank from a large Starbucks cup and apologizing for messing up song)
3 Song of the Shrimp
4 ??? (song about seeing a bullfight and being away from the water)
5 Whiskey in Your Shoes
6 2 Reelers
7 Abstract Plain
8 All My Ghosts
9 California Bound
10 Mr Grieves
11 Been All Around the World
ended set saying Frank Black would be out in a few moments

With E.D. Feldman, Dwayne Jarvis and Billy Block:
12 Callistan
13 10 Percenter
14 I'll Be Blue
15 The Swimmer
16 Bullet
17 I'm Not Dead (I'm in Pittsburgh)
18 Sing For Joy
19 Headache (with f-bomb how I like)
20 I Burn Today
21 Johnny Barleycorn
22 Raider Man
23 Horrible Day
24 ??? great uptempo song about reincarnation? "Do what you want and go on to the next one"
25 My Terrible Ways
26 Suffering
27 Nadine
28 Living on Soul
29 666 (rythym-section heavy rocked-out version)
30 Dead Man's Curve (really cool)

Onstage encore:
31 Remake Remodel

What a show! Frank is as bad ass as ever and the new band sounds tight!

So far the full band set lists are looking a lot like set lists from the solo tour.

The show was amazing. The highlight for me was Dead Man's Curve. It sounded great with a full band. We are going to be in for a real treat when this is recorded. I also want to add that Raider Man was with the full band and not just acoustic. Sounded very cool. I think a lot of the newer songs sounded more rockin with the band.

Frank looked amazing. It looks like he lost quite a bit of weight. He sounded amazing as well. So glad I got there early and got to see the acoustic set.

Thanks for writing out the set list New Bolero. You beat me to the punch. I can go to bed now. :)

I can't wait to see Frank again in California when I go. 3 nights in a row. It should be amazing.

The crowd did fill up much more before Frank went on with the full band.

I suppose it is, in comparison. Though FB personally played 31 songs, which is great.

Excellent choice of songs, though.

You're right, phx, he did look like he'd lost some weight. Didn't think of it till you said so, though.

And yeah, I'm SO glad I made it in time for the acoustic set. Selfishly, I guess I'm glad that guy got arrested or whatever. Yeesh.

Loving those pics put up in the other thread. Frank looks pretty slim, it's nice to see. And he's playing through Voxes again.

show was amazing.. thanks soo much Frank.
I got your setlist that you were using too!
I also found 2 tour posters that were at the front of the Marquee. Overall, I was very impressed with the show. the acoustic Mr. Grieves and Cactus sounded purely awesome and my favorite from the set was definetely Nadine.
I'm suprised the show wasn't that busy to be honest.. I got there 1 1/2 hours before the doors opened and me and my friend were the only ones there!

Luckily I got there about 5 minutes before the acoustic opening set. That was awesome!

However, I think the full band set was mediocre at best. I left about halfway through it. I felt bad, but I had a long drive back to Tucson, and had to be up early for work today. It just wasn't rockin' my socks. But the acoustic set was WELL worth the price of admission.

just my 2 cents.

Frank black has sounded better before. The best part of Frank Black went the way of the Breeders. Please Frank come back to the good old days. Morgan were the rest of the ten percenters there? Pete

They probably have a few kinks to work out, I'm sure it will improve over time.
