I didn't see this, so I thought that if anyone will be at the historic Southgate House in Newport for this gig, it would be a good place to talk about it. |

I do hope I'm not the only one going to this show. The Southgate is a nice place for a show like this. |

I really wish I could go to this one, but, alas, I have kideos to take trick-or-treating. He's playing in Louisville on the 28th, so if you guys can make it, you should check it out. I'll bet tix are still available. Headliners is a great venue, also. |

Hey Vicki, Are you and Lea coming to Nashville for the October 4th show? I realize The Man's playing in Kentucky a couple of times, but I wanted to check with you anyway.
Let me know. I'd love to hook-up with you guys again. Had a blast last year.

Whatdoithink? What are you kidding, I think it's a great idea.
I'll need to do some planning, but I think I may be able to work it out.
I'll email you or post something in the Louisville thread as it gets closer to Oct 28th.

Newport is a safe city, but due to the giant mall/movie theater across the street from SGH, parking is outrageous. Drive up York Street a couple of blocks and park near the post office for free. That's my tip. Just save me a space. |

I think fire code is 650, but I saw Interpol there when the first record came out and they oversold it to 750. |

Years ago my mother's station wagon had the same thing happen with the passenger side door. I came back up to the bus after the show to make sure, but Billy Block (I think) said the latch wasn't broken, it just came loose. So I assume all is fixed, but again, good thing you had a screwdriver onboard.
P.S. Great show, hadn't seen a show like that since FB&theC's in April 2003.

Awesome show! About 350 people there, I'd say. I REALLY wanted to get my CD signed, but I think a drunk, obnoxious photographer and his flash kind of ruined that for all of us, not to mention the fact that Frank and Eric were stuck on the bus. I may have flipped a song in the acoustic set around, but here's what I got....
Holiday Song Ed Is Dead The Water (aborted twice, never played) Black Rider Mr. Grieves Song for the Shrimp ------------------- Remake/Remodel Living On Soul Bullett 666 Horrible Day All My Ghosts Gyanshwr My Terrible Ways I'll Be Blue Raider Man 10 percenter I Burn Today I'm Not Dead The Swimmer (not on setlist) Dead Man's Curve Suffering Burned Out Rock & Roll Needle In My Arm Nadine ------------------- Headache (set said Sing For Joy)
Thank you for a great show and the great memories Frank. See you down the road sometime! |

And what was this Halloween costume he mentioned on the woxy.com radio show yesterday? Or was he just shitting the DJ?

Well, Reid Paley played, then there was the lull between acts, but suddenly we noticed the lull being longer than normal, then we were told that there was a problem with the bus and that they were figuring it out. I saw some people go out through the back door, then my girlfriend suggested I go out to see if I could help. So I went out, a few people were trying different stuff, they were about to bust out a window, but they found a phillips screwdriver inside and started taking the inside panel off, I suggested a latch may have broken or came loose inside the panel and to manually release it behind the panel, then right as police came, the door came open, and Frank & Co. made their way quickly onstage. I think they were stuck for 45 minutes to an hour. I asked them about it after the show and they said it probably came loose from being closed too hard. So hopefully all is well for Chicago.

Him in a costume? He was wearing a black Zorro-esque mask when he first came out.

That's my friend Dave there, and I'm standing next to him. We were in the parking lot at the Lexington solo show, and this guy came up to him and was like "Hey Charles". |

Hahaha. You know, at that Lexington show, I think I saw him in the front row during the opener, and was like, "Is that Frank?"

Yeah, I can get the other videos on your site to work, but I can't quite see my smiling, kinda drunken face. Went to Twilight Singers last night at the Southgate. When Dulli came out, he said "Sorry, we were stuck in the bus". They sucked. We left halfway through and went to Waffle House. |
