Really cool show. The sound is amazing. There is a cool extra 20 minute documentary of them rehearsing for this show in a little studio called Planet Of Sound intercut with footage of them 'previewing' the acoustic show the week before on stage. Kim is hilarious. They share some good onstage banter throughout.

Got it yesterday and I can say that I wish I had been there!!!Their songs translated beautifully to the acoustic format and the performances are very spirited.Joey maintained the tradition and plays a Gibson acoustic which I hadn't noticed when I first saw pics of the show. They certainly won the crowd that day.Great job to the editors this time,is nice to see the band without so many changes of camera angles too quickly like the Sellout DVD.The photo documentary is amazing too.I can't wait for the Paradise DVD,looks and sounds terrific!!!!

You can spot me and Kathryn in both the packaging and in the crowd on the DVD. Front row, i'm wearing a bright orange t-shirt.

Its a pretty cool concert, y'know what with these gruny, feedback swilling whores of hard rock stipping it all down to back to basics. Prolly my least favourite Pixies concert of the ones I own, thats not to say its anything but great its just it doesn't have that ass kicking BOOM to it that they do when there electric. Just my opinion.

Way way late to the game here, but I just got the DVD. I was at the show and am loving waching it again. The bass on Cactus sounds so good.
So far I've spotted my friend in the crowd, but I stood a ways back cause I'm a sound snob. I'm sort of regretting that now. |

Thanks, Tranny. But I still have half way to go and I have faith that my noggin'll pop up somewhere.
Oh, I should also mention that I didn't just go to the concert, I was generously given tickets by fb.net. Thanks again, that was awesome! |

It must have been quite a cool show. As I recall, arent they standing on big, weird circular carpet pieces? I also remember the sound quality being amazing.
I had a dream-come-true night hanging out with the PIXIES back in '05 after a show in LA because of some cool FB.Netter who hooked me up with a personal connection, so your ticket story goes appreciated! Getting to know this person has afforded me many times of cool experiences with PIXIES and Frank. (I love tooting my horn about that because I am a lucky bastard...so I apologize for saying it a thousand times over the past few years LOL)
I have complete faith your head will bob up at some point. I found myself in the crowd of 40,000 of Coachella '04 on the SELL OUT DVD! It was quite surreal...

Holy crud! Just as the DVD was ending and I gave up hope, there I am in the final shot, jumping up and down like a goon. Sure, my back is turned, but it ends with my over-excited self bouncing around! Score.
Yeah, Trans, the sound quality was great and they were standing on oddly placed circular rugs. |
