Bear with me folks--I'm new to the board and for the life of me can't get the search to work properly...

I know this is old news to many, but I just inadvertanly learned about the advance copy of "Honeycomb" that leaked with different mixes of the "Honeycomb" songs + songs that weren't put on the official release + songs that may or may not now have been re-recorded or released on Mr. Black's recent release "Fast Man Raider Man".

Can anybody share the story? I'm veeeery curious...

Also, can anyone verify what exactly is different between the leak and the official release? Are some songs the same mix as the official? Etc.

I'm dying to hear all about this!

Otherwise, can someone who has the magic touch with searches re-direct me to the thread (if there is one) that adresses this topic? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

He also recorded a cover of Donovan's Atlantis at the Honeycomb sessions as well.

It wasn't on the leak though.

That version of Atlantis, witnessed by the Discopedia, is from the Japanese version of Honeycomb. Check out the tracklisting here:

They weren't in that order when the first HC tracklisting was revealed. And it's important to note it cause I always felt the initial running order was waaaay better than the official one. I can't remember exactly but it began with Sing For Joy followed by Honeycomb, and ended with Strange Goodbye.

07 - Lone Child

Yes i remember this tracklist, i downloaded with glee when it surfaced and fell in love with HC, IMO it is a far superior tracklisting which really sits well.

I don't remember that tracklist. Selkie Bride was in the coveted third track position as I recall...

I thought Honeycomb was pretty watertight.

Need I add a wink?!

I believe that may have been a working title for 'Been All Around The World'.

and he played it with the Pixies at the Newport show
maybe he wants it to be an exclusive song and did not put it on Honeycomb/FMRM
Love the recording though
