Alright so it looks like my oink account is gonna be gone in a day cause I haven't uploaded enough so I want some advice on good torrent sites, I like soulseek but they don't give you info on new bands and new torrents. Maybe someone can hook up an indie torrent account? Eather way any advice would be greatly appreciskated.

I find everything I need on soulseek. Use a good torrent-site for info, or a foxy recordstore with their own reviewers and mp3 samples, download from soulseek. I never tried oink, but I've never found a torrrent site that can match soulseek in any way (not on info obviously).

I could upload some stuff but I dont have that much that oink doesn't have and I'd have to upload a ridicolous amount of stuff which would be nearly impossible, I've been trying to upload but their a hard site to get ppl to upload alot from. Dr Evil what sites do you use for info other than blogs and stuff?

oinks a torrent that you need an invite for. Invite torrents always piss me off cause its hard to get invited and then if you dont upload 5 million gigabytes of stuff you get kicked off altho they do have amazing torrents and give u a list of the newest torrent right on the front page with descriptions and everything of the torrents

Or you could always just buy albums. It appears day by day that i know less and less people who do that.

I usually buy albums, especially ones I know I'm going to like (like a Frank album), but sometimes when I hear a song somewhere, I'll download it, but just the individual song.

I'm surprised no one said anything about buying a pig.

I am all for donwloading to see if you will enjoy a purpose. However, if you want the artists you really enjoy to prosper, i think you owe it to them to buy their records, especially if you download it and like it. I can see DL'ing a few songs from a new album and deciding either way, but i still try and buy everything that i really like that i DL.

Demonoid is getting better than it used to be. It's sporting a good dozen or so lossless torrents per day now. I can get you an invite if you need one (they might be allowing normals registrations at the moment).
Due to my present condition and predicaments of being a crippled as a result of the fatal accident that I had, I am not able to carry out this contract because I can only walk on a wheel chair. |

I dunno. I think Soulseek is still a better bet.
Just having a look through the files of the folks who are downloading from me has introduced me to several groups.

I guess if you're used to torrents then the direct peer-to-peer of Soulseek could be a little annoying.
