Since it's probably a bit pointless starting a thread about every single new film that comes along-I mean, it might be of interest to you, but not so much that you want to kick off a topic about it-I thought maybe we could do one for films that you're kind of looking forward to.

The Fountain-Darren "Pi, Requeim For A Dream" Aronofsky's fantasy film about a man's 1,000 year search for the secret of eternal life. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were originally going to star in the roles played by Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, but the director and Pitt had creative differences and what was originally going to be a $75 million dollar was eventually made for $40. Aronofsky wrote a graphic novel, illustrated by Kent Williams, that has been available for a while.

The Departed-Scorsese's remake of Hong Kong cop thriller Infernal Affairs, which I haven't seen and might check out before seeing this.

Here's a high resolution trailer:

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1451528&sdm=web&qtw=640&qth=400

...It's a little slow to download, you can watch it at smaller sizes here:

I am counting the days for the release of The Prestige. Christpoher Nolan's new flick. I loved Memento, Insomnia, and Batman Begins. It's a great trailer and I can't wait till October for it.

Really?! Is Film 4 only free on digital? Maybe it can be tuned in over here. I'll have to check it out.

Useyourname, yeah, that could be good-another Nolan/Bale/Caine collaboration! There's another magician movie coming soon called The Illusionist.

It's on Sky, and as far as i know it's on ntl. I think Chorus only have Sky Movies.
There's ment to be ways to get all those channels for free, you just have to "know a guy".

What do people think of Nolan's first movie, Following?

I'm not a Tenacious D fan, but The Pick Of Destiny could be good for a laugh or two:

I got that "Complete Masterworks" dvd a few years back, it had the short-lived tv on it. Hilarious stuff. I hope they nail the D's humour in the movie

I really don't think they will better the original 'Infernal Affairs'. Not sure about the casting for the two lead roles either.

American Hardcore-doc about the hardcore scene in-yes, you guessed it, America!

http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/americanhardcore/

Saibogujiman Kwenchana (I'm A Cyborg, But That's Okay)-Oldboy director Chan-Wook Park's next movie. This page has the link to where you can download the trailer:

http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=7732

Looks pretty wacky!

Curse Of The Golden Flower-Yimou Zhang, the director of Hero and House Of Flying Daggers lastest film. Looks really beautiful. I love the shot in the teaser of the cloaked ninja-kinda guys descending on the palace, and the shot of the warriors at the tower wall reminds me of the elves at Helm's Deep in The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/curseofthegoldenflower/

300-Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel. Crikey. It certainly looks good:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/300/

For Your Consideration-Christopher Guest's non-mockumentary style comedy set in the film world. Here's IMDB's links for trailer downloads (and one clip on the Worst Previews site-two other YouTube clips have been removed!):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0470765/trailers

Oh yeah, and check out a clip from Flags Of Our Fathers:

The new bond trailer looks pretty interesting - could be that we're veering much more in the direction of the Ian Fleming version. I'm much more excited for this than I was.

The Host: South Korean monster movie that's generating a bit of a buzz (a certain North Korean monster is doing the same at the moment-in the voice of Ben Elton: "bit of politics, ladies and gentleman!"), looks like a bit of a laff. Trailer in various sizes and formats here:

Oh, right! The UK release date is 10th of November!

Grass Roots: I'm not too familiar with the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics, but I'm sure this movie about them will interest somebody. This isn't really a trailer, kind of just test footage:

Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny music video!:

Hot Fuzz: Two teasers are now up for Simon Pegg's cop comedy:

I had trouble downloading trailer 2, lower-quality, faster download versions here:

http://www.roguepictures.com/home.html

The Good Shepherd: Robert De Niro's movie, about the birth of the CIA. Could be good:

Zodiac: No, Frank's not in it!!:

R-rated trailer for The Host:
