For the people waiting on season 3, here's the opening 5 minutes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IEQLJmubF8
Anyway, saw the season premiere tonight. T'was good stuff. Jack seems to get the flashbacks for every season premiere, which might be something... or maybe nothing...
Did anyone else hear about Jacks original role in the show? He was going to be played by Michael Keaton, and was set to be killed off in the shows pilot episode.

so... that one guy died. My theory was that he would be a jesus christ-parallel (die, come back from the dead, and defeat the evils of the island). I don't know what to think. |

So the producers are in talks with ABC today. They're looking for an end-date for LOST so they know how to structure the rest of the show without it meandering on for several more seasons.
I hope they at least go for a fifth season. And no unnecessary movie tie-in's (unless they're set in the Dharma Initiatives hay day when they first came to the island)

Starts in February over here too, so there should only be a week or two of a difference. I still can't believe they killed off Eko. Ooh, and who the hell was that guy with the eye patch on the TV in the Pearl?

I’m getting more excited about lost lately. Questions are only being partly answered, but I’m loving the suspense of unravelling the dharma initiative. I thought that hurley and sayids flashbacks were a little weak, but claires flashback put things back on track.
And how about jack and tom playing football?

yep the last episode was pretty good. although i didn't see the ending as a big deal at all, at least not to the audience. the whole episode about jack "walking amongst them but not being one of them" prepared us for that. he's still good old jack. obviously kate must feel completely betrayed though.

I'm still holding out on the hope that they'll do an episode with Walt and his flashbacks on the island.

Apparently the guy who played Eko didn't get along with anyone else in the cast, which is why they killed him off.
So I guess the rules to not die on Lost are: 1) don't get arrested/DUI 2) don't piss off all the cast regulars. Everyone is expendable except for Locke, Jack, Sawyer, and Kate (and maybe the hobbit) I think.

world wide statistics suggest he's most likely to die from malnutrition, somehow i doubt that for hurley.

Incase anyone was wondering what was being said in russian near the end of "Enter 77":
Klugh: Mikhail. Mikhail! You know what to do. Mikhail: We still have another way [out]. Klugh: We cannot risk it. You know the conditions. Mikhail: There is another way. Klugh: They captured us. We will not let them to get into the territory. Klugh: You know what to do. That's an order. Mikhail: We still have another way! Klugh (in English): Just do it, Mikhail. Mikhail: Forgive me. (shoots)
If anyone was still wondering what the numbers were all about, and you didn’t follow “the lost experience”, watch this (watch the video before you read anything) I thought they would have explained it in the show by now. I’m sure they will, eventually.

I saw a trailer on tv for a movie that looked like it was a complete rip off of Lost. And then the title was “Paradise Lost”! All the clips look like they were ideas taken from the show.

I’m such a Lost freak no. I'm glad they're going for smaller seasons. At least the writing might be a little tighter.
And how about Jacob? For a split second you get to see him

I watch it on Sky on Sundays, RTE on Mondays, Sky repeat it on Wednesdays, And RTE repeats it on Saturdays, Then i'm back to Sky on Sundays. I'm glad i didn't get the DVD boxsets yet. There's meant to be a blu-ray boxset of season 1 coming out during the summer! Fuck yeah! I'll be able to count every leaf in the jungle in HD!

I haven't seen the next episode, but i'm guessing Jacob comes to the rescue. Sorry, let me rephrase that "I hope Jacob comes to the rescue so that we can 1.See Jacob fully, 2.Not loose such a brilliant character like Locke"

I'm really interested to see if they are going to integrate the tsunami into the show (considering the show is set in 2004, and the show is nearing December 26) But, if they do that it would most likely be at the start of season 4, as well as christmas day In the shows timeline Honeycomb wasn’t even released yet, how messed up is that?

As in the whole aging thing? (I think Richard Alpert crashed in the Black Rock and has been on the island as an "original inhabitant" for over 100 years) But the arrival of Naomi more or less confirms that it is still 2004

Yeah, I was wondering if Richard is supposed to be the same age as he was when he first talked to Ben as a child. I mean, he had long hair, but otherwise he didn't look significantly different.
Anyway, I love how nothing on this show really doesn't happen for a reason. I think they first showed the cable on the beach in season one, and now we finally see what it's for. It's great that they have a master plan, unlike the X-Files which really fell apart when it was clear that they never had a good ending in mind and had to make up something unsatisfying.

I remember seeing Sawyers letter in season 1. He used to keep it in his back pocket for when he met the real Sawyer. Then two seasons later… That had to have been something they planned well in advance for. It was something I had completely forgotten about.
Does anyone remember the two skeletons that were found really early on in season 1?
This is from lostpedia: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Adam_And_Eve
In an EW.com article, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse answered the fan question, "What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?"
CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don't want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in "Not in Portland", one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season. LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living -- or, I guess, slowly decomposing -- proof of that. When all is said and done, people are going to point to the skeletons and say, "That is proof that from the very beginning, they always knew that they were going to do this."

If anyone didn’t know there was 3 more seasons, they would almost think that the show ended there. (it would have been anti-climatic, what with all the unanswered questions and all)
-SPOILER WARNING- I’m guessing only Jack and Kate get off the island at the start of season 4 but who’s funeral was that?
February is going to be a long wait

But a close up of the newspaper cutting reveals that the name is something different It could be that Michael changed his name after escaping, because of the guilt of leaving everyone else on the island
From the piture, people have made out this:
Los Angeles Man found dead in downtown loft
"The body of Jo...[unreadable]...[a]ntham of New York was discovered shortly after 4 a.m. in the...[unreadable]...of Grand Avenue. Ted [lastname], [a door]man at The Tower...[unreadable]...heard loud noises...[unreadable]...antham's loft. [unreadable]... [sa]fety, he co[nfessed] [unreadable]...discovered the [unreadable]...a beam in the [unreadable]...[ac]cordin[g]...[unreadable]..."
It's rumoured that walt and michael will be in some episodes in season 4. They could be in flashbacks, flash forwards, on back on the island
