It was at the VOIX DU GAOU the 07-19

He's talking about a new album for the pixies after a discussion with Kim

Apparently he just pissed it out in the ocean.

Thanks pims. I'm wondering if you expected more excitement over Frank's little "scoop".

Nice little interview. Very cool and relaxed. By the way the dude you've interviewed is called Frank Black, not Francis :)

And I believe he says "I was too busy mictating" ("j'étais trop occupé à pisser"), but I'm not sure, I don't have a dictionary handy right now.

Hey pims, can we have a little interview with Richard Bellia for Blackolero? He might have a few Frank-related anecdotes to tell.

On this forum where everything is so nice, cool and beautiful, I feel a little bad to relay some negative feedback from the concerts in Gaou and Nyons were Frank performance didn't meet the expectation from several fans. I heard bad comments about his voice for example. The overall sound of their concert in Gaou was also too loud with bad quality. Any of you heard about similar feedback from his recent concerts? What I hear will not change any of my admiration for Frank but I don't want to be disapponted next time I'll see him ;-)

I'm pretty sure he said 'meditating.'

You reckon? Fasting and meditating? How new-agey :-P

I finally had the sense to check my dictionary and, according to Robert & Collins, I seem to have made an English verb up :) So you must be right. Too bad, I liked my version.

great interview pims, ta. I thought Frank said meditating too, but the verb you're thinking of, jedi, is micturating.

Ok, I just want to tell YOU it's PIERRE who made this video

Be proud of him please, you have to thank him now, not me, because I was just the sound checker

Juste pour vous dire que c'est PIERRE qui a fait cette vidéo

Soyez fier de lui, c'est à lui que revient le mérite, pas a moi, car j'ai seulement gérer le son

SEE YOU !

You would think it deserves it's own thread in the Pixies News dept.

I'm not sure if I'm more excited by the prospect of a new album, or more disturbed by the image of Frank Black at a nude beach micturating out a kidney stone.

"I was too busy micturating" ("j'étais trop occupé à pisser")

New word of the day for me, "micturate". Makes more sense in French.

Everything makes more sense in French.

To me anyway.

Sorry about polluting the thread with my broken English. Please ignore my stupidity and do carry on with the "new Pixies tunes" discussion.

I love how we're looking at the French translation for answers to what we heard Frank say in English.

Anyway, Jedi, your English is transparent--no indication of non-English origin.

pims, please post here more, because your English is really nice to read.

Wasn't it a kidney stone?

Also, any Frenchophone willing to give a translation of the questions? I know most of the answers contained enough info, but not all of 'em.

Hey, I'd missed that - thanks a lot edbanky. You're too kind.

The questions are:

1. "You had to end the show in Geneva prematurely because you were unwell, how are you today?"
2. "After the [2004] reunion, where are the Pixies at in 2006?"
3. "About the "LoudQuietLoud" Pixies documentary DVD, out soon."
4. "About the acoustic live DVD recorded at the Newport Folk Festival."
5. "How do you get along with your guitarist, Joey Santiago?"
6. "Are we going to hear new songs tonight?"
7. "How do you feel about the influence you've had on rock bands over the last 10 years?"
