Hi everybody! I've tried to make a tab of one of my favourite Frank's recent songs, "New House of the Pope". I'm not sure about all the chords (especially the G#m one, maybe it is a G#?).
The strumming isn't exactly the same as in the original song, but it is a way to play it alone with an acoustic guitar. Tell me how it sounds to you.
Intro:
E--------0--0-3-0-----------0--0-3-0--------- B--------1--1-1-1---1-------1--1-1---1------- G--------2--2-2-2----2------2--2-2-----2----- X 2 D--(2)-----------------------------------2--- A---0------------------0--------------------- E-------------------------------------------- .....Am......Am7...........Am...Am7
.........Am-Am7............Am-Am7 When she said she did not love me .......Am-Am7...........E......G That’s when I lost all hope ......Dm-Dm6........Am-Am7 So I jumped into a river .......... F.........G#m.....Am-Am7 Called The New House Of The Pope
Now some they want their coffee And some just want their dope But lately I’ve been drinking At The New House Of The Pope
Now I do not even know, dear Who has made this symphony But he gave you thirteen kisses And that’s why you taste so sweet
In the evening I want my coffee And in the morning I want my dope And in the afternoons I’m drinking In the New House Of The Pope Yeah, lately I’ve been drinking At The New House Of The Pope
Playing it on piano, I had it with you until the G. I always felt it dropped to an F of sorts, but that's not far from a Dm and maybe the Dm is what's actually played. Well done at any rate.
