There's a timer on Michael Bay's website which suggests that the movie is an other 397 days away from being released. Followed by this picture:
Looks like the movie could be released around the same time as Spider-Man 3.

Sandman is confirmed. I've read elsewhere that Harry Osborn will finally follow in his dad's footsteps and be the second Green Goblin. Topher Grace is in the cast, but they have yet to reveal his roll. Could he be Daily Globe reporter Eddie Brock aka Venom?
Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko aka Sandman

Topher Grace is going to be in the movie too, which have people will convinced that he will be Venom. There's actually an early promo poster that suggests that Venom will be in it. And lets not forget the cliffhanger regarding the Hob Goblin.

Man, Eddie Brock was a lot bigger than Topher Grace. I could see him as maybe Jason Masondale, one of the Hobgoblins, though.

Haha the battle of the fanboys eh?
Apparently Sam Raimi didn't want any of the villian information leaked for a long while. And when Kirsten Dunst accidently let it slip he went nuts! It's been said that he almost had a heart attack. Ha ha
Here's a (poor quality) scan of that promo from a magazine.
There's ment to be a reflection of the Green Goblins mask in Spider-Mans eye piece. You can't really see it in this image. And yes i know we've gone completely off topic.

I don't understand given that, it's a comic book movie, why they decide to have the Green Goblin come back in the third film. Most of these movies capitalize on the hero's rogues gallery; there's ample material for them to draw from in respect to the villain of the movie. It's too soon!

Well, Willem Dafoe's son becomes the new Green Goblin. It' kind of an on-going thing. I mean, Dr. Ock isn't featured in this one...although there is apparently a villian they haven't annnouced yet!

Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of the Spiderman comics but I found the Green Goblin super lame in the movie. I felt like I was watching the Power Rangers movie or something. Dr Ock was much better.

I was surprised that they went with the green goblin for the first movie. I used to think he was a lame villain in the comics and cartoons. But it was probably foreseen that there was going to be sequels so they made it into a clever underlying story which will re-surface in the third movie

Yeah Green Goblin is not the best villian. Venom would be cool.

What's Carnage's story? He seems very similar to Venom from what I have read.

The Green Goblin's clunky, blocky, suit was a bit rubbish. They should do an overhaul for Gobby Jnr.!

I didn't see much of Carnage back in the day. I don't have a clue about his backstory. All i know is that he's some kind of variant of Venom.
I loved, FUCKING LOVED, the endeing of S-M2 with willem dafoe in the mirror. Completely took me by surprise. Hopefully he'll be popping up now and again in the third one.

Carnage was a psychopathic murderer named Kletus Cassidy who shared a cell with Eddie Brock after Brock was finally taken down by Spider-Man and imprisoned. The Venom symbiote found its way to the jail where the two men were being held, intending to re-bond with Brock. The two were rejoined and escaped, with Cassidy watching in shock. After Venom had left, it was shown that a small trace of the Venom symbiote had been caught on the bars to the cell, and later, Cassidy surfaced as Carnage. He went on a killing spree; he was much worse than Brock. Mainly Brock wanted revenge on Spider-Man and innocent people just got in the way. Cassidy, however, just killed for the sake of killing, for no good reason.

Carnage would be a great villain but I have a feeling even if they do a fourth movie they'll stick with a more classic villain. Carnage still seems so recent for some reason.

They could do the complete opposite for the fourth film (if they do one). They could do that storyline where Peter Parker starts to mutate into a spider as a side effect of the bite he got.

i talked to this dude who's working on TRANSFORMERS. he said that the military let him (Michael Bay) film all these yet-to-be-released airplanes, but only from certain angles. they weren't allowed to shoot from some angles and they had guys there watching the whole time. but he said that the military will give him anything he wants because when his dumb-ass films come out, army recruitment numbers go way up. how fucked up is that?
i still want to see TRANSFORMERS though

This image was way too big (2,816 x 2,112 pixels) to post, so here's the link: http://www.usemycomputer.com/indeximages/2006/July/bumble1.jpg It's "Bumblebee". At least it's not going to be all cgi.
