I'm doing my best to keep an open mind, Brian.

Miracle Legion - "Snacks and Candy" http://download.yousendit.com/87C43D5A4D88B830
Totally wracked my brains on this one, but eventually chose Miracle Legion for both their connection to Frank (Mr. McCaffrey and Mr. Boutier [here nicknamed "Spot"] having joined ML for the recording of this album, Drenched, and later played with ML frontman Mark Mulcahy in the Pete & Pete soundtrack band Polaris) and for the fact that they're just so tremendously underrated. Drenched is in my top 10 albums of all time. Totally hard to chose which song exactly, too, but finally settled on the one that really hooked me on my own first listen. Enjoy!

Not a bad song Apesy, think it'll grow on me. My first mental comparison was Hootie (sorry), but I felt there were touches of Lloyd Cole - that was more the voice. Cheers.

Great song. Reminds me Van Morrison and some of the better aspects of John Mellencamp.
I'm going to buy this album.

a good song apesy. something i definitely could see myself listening to more, but probly not buy...wouldn't go as far as a hootie comparison, but quite radio friendly.... nice and summery.

Trying to revive this swap that's slowly falling apart... So let's say this is my turn. Today's artist is Daniel Johnston, a man I've been constantly raving about on this forum. I love what he does. He's getting some publicity right now thanks to the documentary that's being released about him, so you've probably heard of him already. I selected 2 songs by him, first "True Love Will Find You In The End", probably my fave song by him, from the album "1990" (also his best album ever). He often ends his concerts with it. The second song is "Rock 'n' Roll/EGA", from his later, more produced era (from the album "Fun" released in 1994). Enjoy.

Nice. Short, achingly sweet.
Daniel Johnston always kind of reminds me of the young Loudon Wainwright III.

Don't care so much for Rock 'N' Roll. The chorus is a turn-off.

This used to be a nice thread.
Just to see if I can still make it twitch...
Moses - Dead Americans
This track is from a lo-fi project that is available from the band's website. I love the ending of this one.
If you hate it, I'll post a screamy epileptic track by Naked City, just to punish you!
