uh... yeah, it seems I lost the point. Perhaps if I had made a specific M:I2 thread we could've discussed Thandie Newton's tits more thoroughly than here. Oh wait, that's not a good idea either...

It is very explicit actually, you see everything except the point where the actual penetration takes place. It's funny to watch, the cameramen are geniuses.

I swear, when I was staying in a large farmhouse in France, with a freind and his family that they rented when I was 15, they had hardcore porn on the TV. Penetration, cum shots - the lot!

My friend and I kept sneaking into the smaller house where we were staying at night to watch it. This was only at about 10 o'clock I think. The year was 1992.

Impossible, even with the cable or satellite.
All real porn starts at midnight, even with the pay-per-view.

And I watched Alien Vs Predator today, it's a bit ridiculous.
This stargate like story is stupid, and fights aren't that great.

Which version of Charlie and the Chocolate factory? I think the original was the best. Or was that called Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory?
Whatever, same thing, original is the best.

Yeah, the original was Willy Wonka And The Chocolate factory. It can't be beat, and Gene Wilder is the ultimate Wonka, although I always found something grim and gaudy and depressing about it. Johnny Depp's Wonka is wonderful, though. "Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!"

I wonder if they did a porn remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Although it only brings really ugly thoughts to my mind.

How about Willy Wanker And The Chocolate tunnel?!

Sorry.

Watched The Exorcism Of Emily Rose and Copland (Director's Cut) last night. Emily Rose was pretty good, Laura Linney and Tom Wilkinson are two really good actors. Campbell Scott is in it, too. I thought the actress who played Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) resembled Kim Deal somewhat!!

As for the director's cut of Copland, I really enjoyed it. I'd only ever seen bits of the normal version. Great acting, and it's a wonder Sylvester Stallone doesn't have a go a tackling more serious dramatic roles. Just checking out director James Mangold on IMDb, discovered he directed Walk The Line, among other films!

Watched Corpse Bride today. I saw it in the cinema, but it was nice to see it again. Interesting extra features.

I watched 'Lord Of War' last night, y'know, the one with Nicholas Cage selling guns. I started watching it in college (an example of the hard work I do there) but didn't finish it, so I had to rent it just to see the end. I thought it was very good indeed.

Irreversible will be on tv here in a few days. should I see it?
The tv-guide says something like (according to Newsweek)- of all the movies that came out that year this one had the largest number of people leave the cinema before the end, due to scenes of violence...
and- during the first half hour a sound is played at a frequency of 27 Hz that can cause nausea...
khewwwwll </butthead>
Those that saw it, what do you think, is it any good or did you regret seeing it, like all those people?
or like I regret that Ridley Scott didn't make Aliens

Don't see it. Not because it's violent (it is) but because it's very very bad.

I didn't watch AVP today.

Actually, I did watch War Of The Worlds again yesterday. It's good, except the ending is a little bit dull and forced fell-good. Watched some of The Truman Show on TV last night. Very clever and funny. It has been said before that this sort of precdicted the Big Brother Phenomenon.

Watched The Nightmare Before Christmas today. Very good, funny and charming. Corpse Bride may look more polished, but this has aged well and it's very nicely done. The songs are better than CB, too!

Went to see X-Men:The Last Stand thise evening. Hmmm. Entertaining enough, but they could've done a bit more with it.

Just looking it up on the Internet Movie Database, there are two mistakes pointed out in the goofs section, one of which I spotted (a day-suddenly-becoming-night thing, which I thought seemed too obvious to be a mistake, like it was meant to a little time lapse!); the other was a continuity error, where holes ripped in Wolverines vest go missing; funnily enough, just after he got these holes, I was wondering if there would be a mistake like that, so apparently there was, but I didn't spot it when it did happen (if that makes any sense to ya)!! Apparently, there's a 30-second scene after the credits, which I obviously didn't see!

Thanks floop-actually, I had to go directly to the given link to see it, and it only seems to load a bit of the film, so I didn't see it all! The B&W and eyeballs reminds me Un Chien Andalou! I haven't seen The City Of Lost Children yet. I was just listening to the Amelie soundtrack the other night, I've been playing La Valse D'Amelie on guitar lately!!

Just watched The Chronicles Of Narnia-The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe not long ago. It was okay. Really good effects work.

Watched Good Night, And Good Luck last night, George Clooney's movie about TV journalist Edward R. Murrow, and his reporting during the McCarthy era. It was a bit too self-consious looking for my liking in places, and was a bit blunt and awkward with it's chunks of real footage of the McCarthy trials, etc., but it was still interesting and had some good performances-actually, David Strathairn was excellent as Murrow.

This is kind of like the new movies thread....maybe I shouldn't be prolonging it. Anyway....watched two Ealing comdies yesterday, The Lavender Hill Mob and Kind Hearts And Coronets. Wonderful. Audrey Hepburn has a walk-on part in TLHM, and according to the Internet Movie Database, Robert Shaw plays the chemist at the police exibition, but apparently, most of his performance ended up on the cutting room floor. Alec Guiness plays eight roles in KHAC. His performance as the reverend is particularly good.

There were no aliens or predators in it.
