I watched La Bete (The Beast) the other night. Crazy, erotic and surreal. Also watched a short by the film's director, Walerian Borowczyk, La Maree (The Tide), which was interesting. I had seen his film Behind Convent Walls before. I just found out the other day on IMDB that he only died on 3rd February this year.

Hey, how about we do a Film Club?!

I am looking forward to United 93. Just heard a critic on the radio who saw a screening and said it was very good. "The best movie nobody will want to see."

Very powerful and will "wreck the rest of your day".

watched this documentary called THE CRUISE last night about this crazy double-decker bus tour guide in New York who is kind of insane and brilliant at the same time. good film.

[edit] this film was much different than ALIEN vs. PREDATOR, thought the main character did discuss aliens at one point.

I watched Three Kings last night and was left wondering whether the Alien or the Predator would have more success stealing the gold. I suppose the Predator would be better at sneaking in.

Good movie, I thought. Actually a very good movie, I thought.

Yesterday I wanted to see Alien vs Predator so badly, but alas it wasn't on TV so instead I watched The French Connection. Cool 70s flick by William Friedkin starring Gene Hackman and Rod Steiger. It feels a bit dated now but still greatly filmed.
Then I changed channels looking desperately for AvP and all I found was the end of Die Another Day. It looked like the worst Bond film ever, and that's saying something. The acting, CGI and plot were worse than an episode of the Power Rangers. I wish they'd go back to making cool Bond films.

anyone can guess which movie is this?

Is that the one about a predator fluttering its elbows on one side of a moon rock and causing an alien on the other side to be whirled the fuck out of Kansas?... or something?...
I remember seeing it. With two different endings. The general idea seemed quite interesting. So I expected too much, I guess.

Yep, that was the one. It sucked. Turns out I watched the director's cut (ie unhappy ending) and upon reading on imdb.com it seems the other end is better. Still, it's an interesting idea as you say, but very badly made. Anyway, it stars Ashton Kutcher, that should've made me guess it was gonna suck.

I watched Solaris again last night (it was too soon to see Alien Vs Predator again), and it reaffirmed my belief that it is one of the greatest films ever made. I want the soundtrack too.

I watched Ghostbusters last night but I think the sequel is better. It had Sigourney Weaver in it. Was she in 'Alien vs Predator' or just the Alien films?

Just the Alien films. I must admit, her in her skimpy knickers does chalk one up for Alien.

I know this thread's not really about AVP anymore, or ever, or whatever, but today aint-it-cool.com put up a review for the script for Alien vs. Predator 2. There's going to be a fight scene at a Big K-Mart in texas. My lord, the pain.

I really want to see Silent Hill. I used to love the game Silent Hill 4. The scariest video game ever I'd say.

Yes, even scarier than Alien Vs Predator.

Saw 'Alien' for the first time last night. Thought it was decent so I watched 'Aliens' straight after. I must say I thought the second one was better. It had alot more action than the first and having more characters increases the pace of the film. I've got 'Alien 3' and 'Alien Ressurection' on DVD. I might watch them soon.
