don't tell the mods but we can secretly discuss other movies besides Alien vs. Predator in here. from now on, when you see "discussion about Alien vs. Predator movie only ;)" to you that means, "talk about a bunch of movies". know what i mean?

I have never seen ALIEN vs. PREDATOR. Thanks for pointing out that it has poor acting and a poor script. I was thinking of watching it but thanks to your awsome new thread which invites discussion and not simply lists I am aware that it probably isn't worth it. Thanks.
I haven't watched anything recently. I can't even remember the last film I watched.

I watched MEET THE FOCKERS the other night after seeing MEET THE PARENTS on cable. I got a thing for Teri Polo. I have a thing for beautiful women in general though.

Perhaps you should start a thread dedicated to them.

I bought Alien Vs Predator in the sale the other day. Personally, I really liked it. But then I liked it before I had even watched it. If you know what I mean.

Amazingly, James Cameron really liked it, too. He said in an interview recently that he thought it was the third best of the alien pictures. And that just skeevs me.

This movie is an abomination, a horror, an unholy thing.

Yeah, I saw that. Parts of it were okay. But the predator doing the actions to show the heroine about the explosive thing or something (I can't remember)...*shudder*. Ugh.

If they fought extra terrestrial on extra terrestrial though you know Alien would have completely whipped predators arse. One Alien killed two of them that way remember.

Alien far superior.

You are missing my point. The Aliens are not intelligent enough to realise that creating better weapons will give them a greater chance of survival. The predator does and is therefore superior. The aliens were born with weapons. Predator created superior ones.

Game over.

from what i know about predators they have a built in atomic self destruct, that would be useful if alien was squating in predators belly. in the end they both die but it's predator that has the choice.

"Freddy vs Jason" was on a couple weeks ago- the only kinda good part was when Freddy said to the girl from Destiny's Child "How sweet, dark meat!"

I watched Ghostbusters 2 yesterday. I mean *ahem* Alien vs Predator.
There are lots of really subtle moments of comedy that you just don't appreciate when you're alot younger.
That guy, Vigo the Carpathian (I mean erm...Predator) that comes out of the painting used to scare the crap out of me when I was about 3. In fact he still does now!
I think Ghostbusters 2 just beats Goodburger to the title of 'best film ever'.
A river of slime, the spirit of a 17th century painting trying to live in the 20th century by taking over the body of an 8 month old baby, ghosts taking over New York city. What more can you ask for in a film!? (Apart from Aliens and Predators maybe?)

The baby in Predator 2? Is that the result of the KeyMaster and GateKeepers little tête-à-tête at the top of the building in Predator 1? I've always wondered but never knew.

It becomes apparent in Predator 2 that the baby is son to one of the members of the Gatekeeper's orchestra, whom she started seeing after she and the Predator-buster split up.
However, I think you could be right about the Keymaster thing and that this 'orchestra guy' explanation is fake. I think the baby could well be the son of the Keymaster. The Gatekeeper wouldn't want us to know that though, would she?

No she wouldn't. Because she has plans of her own? Predator 3?

I only ask because me and my better half watched GhostBusters last night. The Gatekeeper and Keymaster share a smooch, then walk up the mystery stairs. The next we see of them, they're waking up at the entrance of Goza. My girlfriend thinks they got it on then fell asleep.

i watched GOODBURGER again on DVD, with audio commentary from Sinbad. ALIEN vs PREDATOR could have benefitted from watching this movie before making their movie
