Im thinking more

Arsenal 1 - 0 Villareal

Thats if they can keep Riquelme quiet. If they do, that will be half the job done. They should stick Eboue or someone on him the whole fucking game, just man mark that fucker to death.
Im a bit unsure as to who I would rather win this one. Villareal put us out of the competition so it would be nice to see them put in their place. Then again if Arsenal go on to win the champions league Yobo will more than likely jump ship and join them. Plus, would it really be a victory for English football? Discuss.

What is it with you and Yobo joining Arsenal? I haven't heard these rumours anywhere else.

I keep reading it. I've read it on football365.com, the bbc website and in various newapapers. He hasn't signed a new contract which has been on the table for a year. He only has a year left to run.
Plus, we all know Arsene is hard for African defenders on the cheap.
The signs do not look good methinks.

I never knew that. Still, they speculate on transfer all the time so you never know. I wouldn't be surprised if he did leave though. I won;t be too worried if Arsenal sign him though. He's good, but he's not that good.

True, he's not that good, but he's the best centre-back we've got. And he's under 50, unlike Statler (Weir) and Waldorf (Stubbs).

Wish I was around for those days. Sometimes I get my dad to tell me all about it over a bag of Werthers Originals and it brings a tear to my eye.

So Arsenal are 1-0 up. Any of the predictions made could still be right so far.

Yes, you get to buy the next round of drinks... =P
It was pretty close to being 3-0 at halftime. Someone should put a collar on Lehmann and chain him to the damn post. That guy scares the hell out of me sometimes. One away goal next week should get them thru.

A football topic! You reckon I'd get a single reply from a topic about the NEWEST PREMIERSHIP TEAM? Didn't think so.

Arsenal will get to the final

Congratulations on your promotion! I genuinely hope you do well (it's been shown this season by us (Wigan) and West Ham that it is possible). We got six points off your team last season and I look forward to getting the same again ;)

What do you think your chances are for survival next season?

Yeah you didn't half give us a hammering at fickle arena, I mean the JJB ;) We will struggle but it all depends on who he brings in. De zeuw and Henchoz have shown that two quality centre halves can make all the difference. If we survive it'll be a close call.

Hey Homer, decent, bit stressed with the dissetation and things. I am indeed a blade and have been for exactly 12 years, first ever game was our first game back in division 1. So I'm somewhat excited to claim I finally support a premiership team.

Well good luck to you I say. Can never have too many northern teams in the Premiership. If it keeps those southern muppets out, it's all good.

So, it's time again for that little CL break in between the ongoing premiership discussions here

Will that 1-0 victory from the first leg be enough for Arsenal? Can our hero keep his goal clean? Long enough to get the record from Van der Saar? And with such an impressive record under his belt be strong enough to win first the Champions League and then the world cup?

What do YOU think?

I'd also go with 1-1. Barca to win 2-1 tomorrow.

And I'll show my arse if Germany win the World Cup.

Well Kelladwella, your hero can "keep his goal clean". Got to hand it to him, he's turned into a top class goalkeeper. So now he's a top class idiot AND a top class goalkeeper.

Damn! I thought Villarreal could win the match, you just can't miss a penalty in the last minute :(

Ach, you could see Riquelme had bottled it before he took the penalty. He looked terrified. I was surprised he hit the target.
As long as Arsenal don't win the final, I don't mind.

Any decent keeper would have saved that poorly taken penalty. No way they win the final playing like they did today. It still does not erase the sting of losing points to Spurs the other day. All that being said, I'm glad they are in the final.

It was a close shave for Arsenal near the end there. Heartbreaking for Villarreal.
