I have seen none of the films up for nomination so I cannot give an objective opinion on which should win what. But a much more important issue is at stake this year, and the only reason I'll be watching....Will someone on the red carpet be fondling Scarlett Johansen's tits again?

Philip Seymour Hoffman should get an Oscar for 'Best Actor Breathing Through Their Mouth'. Know one else does it, but I think he's a truly great actor.

I wonder if they'll give Best Song to a song called "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp".
I'd like to see all the Brokeback people win, and I don't want Crash to get anything.

I really hope Keener and Seymour Hoffman win. They've played quite a few great charcters over the years.
I predict Bareback Mountain will win most of the categories it has been nominated for. I hope it lives up to the hype once I finally see it.
Tsotsi seems much like a local version of City Of God I know but I hope they win. The film industry over here needs a kickstart.
Sorry Pixiestu but Crash sucked i.m.o. So many coincidences and such a change of heart in so many characters in one film. I didn't buy it.

Well, it looks like I am going to win by a landslide. Broken Face is my only real competition, but I'll still beat him but at least 2

Pixiestu, I wasn't sure I was gonna like "Crash" but my brother rented it. I like the opening, the car accident, and that woman saying, "Officer, can you put in your report how shocked I am to be hit by an Asian driver." I like that (though I've never had a problem with an Asian driver, I've heard a lot of people from Boston say they've almost been hit by them and complain that they don't know how to drive).
So much of it just wasn't believeable- After the mugging, I don't believe that Sandra Bullock would've said all those things when the workers were in the house-"He's gonna make a copy of our housekey and give it to his homeys". (Before someone writes in, I know it wasn't really Sandra Bullock saying those things.)
Plus I can only take so much of the "unexpected" twists: the racist cop saves the woman's life, the "good" cop (there's no such thing) mistakenly kills the black guy.
Plus I Hate Ryan Phillipe (and Reese Witherspoon).
