Quite enjoyed DaVinci code the book as a bit of fun, so I'd say yes. Will go see the movie and form my own opinion, but the critics were not kind.
MI1 was actually pretty darned good. Number two was a big flaming crap ball. Number three was somewhere between the two. Just an action movie, nothing interesting or exciting or innovative, but fun.

Yeah I was very pleased to hear Spacey got it. An excellent choice.
Overall though I am not too excited by another Superman film. He's far from my favourite superhero, although he is the hardest.

Stay away from the book by all means! It's so badly written I wanted to bang my head to the wall at each line. And the end sucks so much that "It was all just a dream" would've made a better ending.

Yeah, it sounds comical in places. But I'm sure it's pretty entertaining.
I'll very probably never see The Shaggy Dog remake or the original, but the remake poster has provided plenty of entertainment in any case.

It's not that I don't like Kevin Spacey, but there's something about his acting in just about every movie I've seen him in- maybe he just shouldn't be a movie actor- it's always so clear that he's playing a part that it's distracting I remember I'm watching a movie. I don't know why that is.
Plus I didn't like the way he played the character in "Seven".

My daughter really wanted to see the Shaggy Dog. I agreed to take her but never had the chance.

I was told one time that the only reason Colin Farrell got in to Hollywood was because he gave Kevin Spacey a blowjob when he was working with him on "Ordinary Decent Criminals". Which was a piece of shit rip off of the far superior "The General"

See, I understand this attitude from pompous critics who maneuver to look good by blasting anything popular, but I haven't really encountered many people who hate it that don't fit the mold, and I'm intrigued as to why. I can understand the formulaic and poor writing comments to the extent that I think people are not taking the book for what it is (it's not Shakespeare). But I think that the winding of fact and fiction (or rather, myth, fact, and fiction) IS genius and I also quite loved the end in particular and am not sure how you could not. Perhaps we shouldn't discuss it publically for fear of ruining it for others, but I am intrigued by your opinion in any case.

I've already talked on the forum about that book much more than it deserves. The bad writing is just one thing and I can stand it when the story is good (I read a French book last year that ripped off the Name of The Rose to the point that I think one of the characters was named Bernardo Gui, and it was terribly written but I was hooked). In the Da Vinci Code the writing reached the bottom of the barrel IMO, although I think the French translation might have made it even worse. But there were many more things that bugged me and made me lose interest in the plot. The "enigmas" were laughably stupid, and yet characters who are supposed to be cryptography experts spend an hour to discover that the text is... wow... written backwards! And while they scratch their heads Brown has the unsuffurable habit of repeating the same coded line again and again until one of the characters figures it out; it's a book, for god's sake, if I want to read the text again I go 2 pages back and there it is! And the main thing that bothered me is that it's obvious Brown never set foot in Paris. So you get guys who go to Gare St Lazare and buy a train ticket to Lille (trains to Lille start from Gare du Nord), then jump in a taxi and have a 12-page long discussion before reaching their destination... 500 meters away from their departure point; and when the entrance to the American embassy is closed by dozens of police cars, they manage to escape while driving on the Elysian Fields. Uh? How the hell can you successfully escape a police car chase on a straight avenue? You see, all these points (and there were much more) seem unimportant, but if I don't even believe in them, I'll buy Brown's conspiracy theories and hidden messages even less. He doesn't get the facts that I can check straight, so why bother with the rest. But still, I kept reading cause I don't like to quit books, and eventually after 600 pages of this mess, you learn that there was NO conspiracy, that the Church had nothing to do with it, and that the guys from the Priory of Sion have actually NO intention of revealing their secret, and that you won't even see the Grail that everyone has been looking for the entire book. Suddenly everyone decides things are better untold. And they lived happily ever after. What the...? I want my 2 days back!
(in fact I don't remember it very well, what I just wrote might be entirely false. I just know I hated it. But I have no contempt for those who liked it, if that's what's bothering you. Mrs Denis enjoyed the book.)

Perfect "Da Vinci Code" review, Denis! exactly what I would have said if I could write in english.
I'll watch "Marie Antoinette". I didn't like Sofia Coppola's previous works, but that's not enough for me to lose Kirsten Dunst in that costume.
