I think I've seen the majority of Sandra Bullock rom-coms - my review: they all suck. Damn it living in a house with girls for two years.

Ooh, this is a fun topic and there are so many! A few that spring to mind:
The third Matrix film: Renovations or Reinventions or Regurgitations, or whatever the hell it's called. If it's any worse than the last one and I'm assured that it is, then I won't be seeing this for a long, long time.
Brokeback Mountain: Everybody I know has told me that this is just a normal romance film but with gay cowboys, and god I hate it when films win awards for being slightly controversial. And critics who are too up their own arses to say that despite it being a major blockbuster based around the largely untouched theme of homosexuality, it is still a big pile of crap. And I've heard that the sex scene is rather painful (to watch), although I can't imagine it being much worse than the second Matrix half hour epic intercourse scene. Just awful. Hmm, maybe I should do an uncomfortable sex scene thread.
Oh yes, and an entire series of movies spring to mind...... Harry pissing Potter. I just can't explain how much I hate that crap.
Of course all my arguments are based on things I've heard or my own expectations so I guess I could be entirely wrong, but then, I'm probably not.

Scary Movie. Or any of the sequels.
Or the new one by the same people that Kitty mentioned.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Any film that has that RIDICULOUSLY ANNOYING BIT in the tv trailer, where the music is going..then the music drops out for a second or two and the star says some f*cking WACKY one-liner or some shit. Do it, next time there's a trailer on tv for a "comedy" thing, watch out for this bit. Then jam forks in your frontal lobe and go watch the film, because it's apparent you won't need any brain activity to enjoy it.
I'm sure I'd see a lot more films if it wasn't for the f*cking terrible trailers.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. They strike me as being made up entirely of gross-out jokes and really weak spoofs (i.e., there's a scene that's really similar to one in a popular movie, except there's some minor alteration that a five-year-old might find somewhat amusing).

The first Scary Movie is funny, but obviously pretty dopey.
Me, I lose interest in seeing a movie when it becomes a big Oscar nominated thing. I don't think I've seen a Best Picture winner since, I think, Forrest Gump (which I hated). Looking over this year's Oscar nominees, the only one I've seen is the Enron documentary.
Maybe this kind of avoidance of popular things is a character flaw, but so what? Brokeback Mountain is popular enough. It seems to be doing just fine without the support of some random guy in Texas named Jason. |

I think Floop needs to look up the word "popular."
