So really what you're saying is that this is a holiday for the ladies and its okay not to get the men anything?
I was stumped for awhile on what to get Mike. Flowers and chocolate seem silly. And its not like its his birthday or Christmas to get some sort of gift that has nothing to do with v day. I've already bought lingerie for the last few v days so more seemed kind of unthoughtful (I'm sure he wouldn't think so... ). But he did like what I got him so all's well.

It was funny I got accosted by a woman in the hallway asking me where my red or pink was. I told her I forgot. She stood there in disbelief.
You are expected to wear red or pink in the US?
You guys really are weird!
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place
It's a social norm for the women. It's becoming more of one for guys (mostly they wear burgandy). This is not the case in the UK? |

No, I was just talking about my personal case. Mrs Denis has been stuck at home for the whole week with 2 sick kids, so I didn't expect her to get me anything, and frankly I didn't mind at all.

I got an anonymous handmade Valentine's card in school once, which I've held onto. I was so chuffed! |

If I get drunk tonight, Se(accent)an, I'll love you. I think we're buying two bottles of wine tonight -- red for me and white for Mrs. Coastline. If you're online in about 6 hours, which I seriously doubt will be the case, I'll deliver some love in the drunk thread.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Deliver all the love you want. My heart is defective, and its past the 90 day warranty. So I’m stuck with it.

I got a Valentines card last year, or maybe the year before. She'd just made it from a piece of paper and drawn a guitar on it (since she knew I played the guitar). It said something like "To my strumming Valentine", which was nice. Awwwww.
