The Beatles mainly, and to a lesser extent FB&TC's (and FB solo).

Most of Frank's albums took a while to click for me, but I never really disliked any of them.

Yeah, I find the Catholics albums take a few listens to get into. It's really just that Frank wanted to branch out, I suppose-actually, I remember Frank's solo debut took a few listens to sink in. Obviously some songs strike you straight away (Los Angeles, Ramona, for instance), it just took a few spins to really get into. TOTY is more immeadiate sounding in a way, it's upbeat and fun, but it's weathered well, it's still possibly my fave FB. COR went off the rails a bit. I kind of had to get back into FB a few years later! But it's worth it. DITS, for instance, after a coule of listens really stikes you-The St. Francis Dam Disater is one of Frank's best, lot of good songs on there, The Swimmer, Stupid Me, etc. Even Pistelero has Western Star, another cracker, all the albums have good songs on 'em. Honeycomb needs a few more listens for me, but it's got I Burn Today and the title track at least to recommend it, it could be a grower. I've actually only listened to it once, I don't have it too long.

DITS had that effect, but Pistolero instantly grabbed me. Funny thing is, I think DITS is better.

Dylan, I always liked him but hadnīt discovered quite how much (i.e. thereīs lyrics). And this week I found out I liked Neil Young. And Radiohead.

Listened to Young's After The Goldrush and Dylan's live Hard Rain at a friend's house earlier. I love the way Dylan and band reinterpret his songs on that.

The Velvet Underground and to a degree The Breeders and Pixies 'cos I didn't like everything by them at first. Now I love it all of course.
