Yeah, a friend of mine is of the opinion that she's not as great looking as people make out. Sometimes, she does look a bit 'plainer', if that's the right word, but I still think she's rather lovely.

I don't know. When "Return to Oz" came out in 1985, critics unfavorably compared it to the 1939 MGM classic, which might well have been part of why it wasn't successful. It would be difficult to turn audiences' perceptions of Oz away from MGM.
