How about pistolero style bullets to replace the stars?
Or keep the stars but have them more like the stars used for the Cult of Ray sleeve?

Very nice!!
Note that i need about seven different colors or styles..but that they get repeated..
Like, Jim has four stars, but it's just four of the same. I don't want to reprogram this damn thing so i can use custom stars. =)
Very promising start tho! I like both the stars and bullet. Note that it's a 13x12 pixel base as well.. (Not sure if it resizes them..hmmm...) |

There are some examples of alternative icons here. It says "Note: these are a tad bigger than the original icons, so you'll need to remove the width="x" and height="x" from your code." *just in case there is a chance of using slightly bigger icons*

They look awesome, but are kind of hard to see, unfortunately. The red one's probably my favourite. Certainly beats the hell out of these ones we've got now.

Ohh... I just went back up and looked and those bigger bullets you made are pretty awesome (but they resize poorly as you said) as are those stars (I think they'd look good with a darker outline, what do you think?).

I definitely dig those stars, Duck. Perhaps they could be a tad bigger? Is that possible, or do we have standards to stay within? Either way, I think they're excellent.

Yeah, those look awesome. Seriously. I like them better than our current stars, and certainly better than the ones Dave has given us which annoy the snot out of thousands of people daily. How about it Dave?
Jim, the stars are fixed dimensions (I believe 13x12), so that's unfortunately as big as they get. I think they'd look good, though. |

I've thought about fitting the cat in there somewhere, peek-a-boo looks interesting. ;-)
I also thought of ways to use diamond/spade/club/heart for stars, but it didn't work out the way I imagined.

El Barto: I'm a Mac user, but modern Macs just use .TTFs dragged and dropped into /Library/Fonts/ so it'd be a universal thing, more than likely.

What size limits are there on the rest of the icons?
Most of them appear to be 15x15 but some seem to be slightly bigger. |
