there is a fine line between arrogance & being straight forward, and is very hard to see. however, different people will find this line at different places, so there is no ultimate or objective way to tell if somebody is arrogant. just an opinion.

I don't think arrogant is the right word, I'd reserve that term for someone who takes advantage of his superiority to try to degrade someone inferior. Sometimes there's just a fine line between that and merely stating facts.
