Just wondered what bass amplifiers our resident forum bassists use?

80 I think. It's quite good. But it doesn't age that well (Mine is almost 10 and there's a very annoying buzzing sound now. You don't hear it when you play with a band though.)

I think i'm going to need about 300 watts :(

Kim Deal used to tour with a Peavey combo bass amp for the Pixies apparently.

I used to own one of these, really over-the-top compact and 450 Watts, Peavey Databass.

I own a behringer ultrabass bx1200, 120W, it's excellent, very good sound and cheap, and also I use a korg AX1B multieffect.

I'm not a bassist but my bassist has been playing a Carvin for about 15 years now. It's not a very popular choice but it's been through plenty of gigs & abuse & it still sounds great.

After quickly researching Ashdown combos, I've found plenty of good reviews for it.

Good choice.

I have the same amp - no problems at all, except in carrying the darn thing! Does anyone else have this problem? Is it me or is it a very awkward shape to lift?

I now have an Orange Crush 20B - a lot of sound for such a small amp and the tone is fantastic.

ampeg SVT W/8x10 cab is THE rock bass rig!!! the biggest and best tube amp ever built. expensive and heavy, but once you go SVT the is no going back. I played a G-k 800rb (2 of 'em) w/hartke 410 cabs for 15 years, rented a svt once and bought one the next week. a 300LB labor of love!!!

the way God & Leo Fender
intended it
