What's wrong with this song? A lot of you seem to dislike it.
For me it's the song that comes first to my mind when I think of Honeycomb. A song about typical bitter love, but the words evoke some strong images. A Velvet Nightmare: that's a brilliant concept! Don't tell me you never had one...
His voice is deep and really expressive. I really don't understand with some of you praise songs like go find your saint and despise this precious one...
Well... maybe it's me...
Half reward goes to Pailey, I am curious to hear the other songs he co-wrote...

I really like this song: drink-sodden, world-weary - who cannot relate to that?!

I have to agree that I find "Go Find Your Saint" somewhat underwhelming. I can't help thinking of it as a lost Catholics song.
I jumped on the Frank Black Bandwagon/'Cause Pixies are so 2004 |

I didn't like velvet nightmare much neither at first. It's a grower. |

I think the opening line is definitely attention-catching. The rest of the song took a while to grow on me, but I find that I really like the piano.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

I wouldn't say it's a great song and I wouldn't put it on a Frank Black best of album. However, it isn't a bad song either and I agree that it's definitely a grower.

Lone child, Honeycomb, Sing for joy and Selkie Bride are the jewels of the record. Along with Strange goodbye, maybe.
I don't like the other songs that much.
