Oh yes. Coffee. coffee coffee coffee. I'm a junkie no two ways about it. I've been a coffee nut longer than anyone I know who's my own age I think. I love nothing more than getting up on a Saturday morning and brewing a pot and lounging around in my jammies for a couple hours before anyone else wakes up (I'm very much a morning person - almost never sleep past 6 am).
heres a tip: put a dash of salt in the filter with the grounds. Helps to get rid of any bitterness in the brew...
...but not more than a dash! Once when I was still living with my folks I got up one morning, poured myself a cup and put in a spoonfull of sugar just like any other morning, but unbeknownst to me me mom had erroneously put salt in the sugar bowl. Still half asleep, I took a big swig of the coffee expecting my usual hot semi-sweet delictation but instead got a mouthful of what tasted like boiled salt water. It was disgusting with a capital "ick" and I did a classic John Ritter spit-take into the sink. |

My grandfather is the only other person I've known to put salt in their coffee. Used to freak people out.
