It's that time again - as the end of the year approaches, i feel we should try and get in another CD Swap. However, i'd like to do this the way we tried to do the North American/Genre swaps, with one disc going out every week-ten days, so we get some space between discs. So, who's in?

Why not trying to finish the reviews of the previous swap first? I'll finish mine, I think I have 3 or 4 left.
Otherwise, I'd be in if it were a ftp swap. The postage cost me quite a bit last time and I'm trying to save money.

Nobody's interested in a ftp thing? I don't remember what the opinions were when someone submitted the idea last time. I wasn't very keen on it but I changed my mind. If people submit a mix that fits on a CD (or 2), with artwork to be printed, then it'd be close to the real thing, only without the pleasure of getting CDs in your mailbox... or the disappointment of having the postal service steal your CDs.

i would prefer to do mine CD-R style, but maybe we could come up with a system to do both. if we can add the ftp option, would you be in denis?

what i was thinking is having someone be the 'FTP master' in case people don't know how to FTP - so when it comes time for person a's mix, they send it to the FTP master, and he'll encode it, etc. the only problem with this are that there are some people who may not have access to an FTP. in that case, would you mind sending out a few hard copies?

I am not sure I am gonna bother with CD's anymore. I am still finding that most of them won't play on my hi-fi (and of course Denis' went missing this time, and Mel's last time).
Ftp only for me.

denis, don't worry about it. we'll work out the details as it goes along. i, for one, will burn and send your mix to anyone who can't ftp. i'm sure someone else will step in for the other members if money becomes an issue.

with the exception of the asterisk'd people, everyone has said they are fine with FTPing (not that the others have said they are not, they simply haven't weighed in on it yet). should we try for 12 this round, especially since we're going to be FTPing (most of) them?
once we get our number, i'll randomly draw the order out of a hat, and we'll have people post to the FTP every Monday lets say for 12 weeks, with the start date, let's say, October 10?. that'll have us going through the start of the christmas season.
