thats really weird.

additionally, blackheath has the best microbrewery in london.
It's called Zero Degrees and it's just the bees knees, and has delicious pizzas to boot. and happy hour from 4-6pm with 1.50pound pints. i totally recommend it as the pre-gig venue.
as you can probably tell, I really miss it.

why is it that we have a breeders thread in each of the pixies forums? dont we have somewhere else they could go? or merge them? it just seems pointless.

a day late, a dollar short

mmm! Uncle Wrinkle!!

oh, and Martin Jol, Martin Jol, Martin Martin Jol, he's got no hair, and we don't care, Martin Martin Jol!

that microbrewery sounds pretty fab! I might pop my head in there - any brewery that does pizzas can't be missed!

I just wish I still lived in New Cross... maybe I'll do Uncle Wrinkle on the Saturday night :)

london to edinburgh??!?! how many days did that take?!?! crazy! i'm worried about sitting next to mike all the way down to london, he figits and talks lots and has really long legs, so i probably won't have any room... although we have those buses running through studentland, so i'm quite used to the cramped seats.

london to edinburgh took 13 hours or so.
well the one we were on had heaps of legroom - much more than london city buses thats for sure.
and if it's pretty empty, you can always change seats....
but seriously think of sitting on the bottom level - so much better on long journeys cause cooler and quieter...

enjoy.

Well that's nice after all I have done for you with this and The new Pornographers. It's OK though, I will be taking my iriver, though it's not my fault that you can't speak well enough to hold a conversation.

Nic, you realise they may well still have tickets at the venue? According to Jo (who doesn't know Bob Allen).

Sadly Mr Cheese I have to stay home and look after the cats (how tragic am I?) - the man is abandoning me for the weekend again leaving me to defend the fort. (Still I'm plotting and scheming in my mind as to how I could run off to London for the weekend though).

I'm sorry. Perhaps I don't understand correctly but are you saying you are going to pass up the Breeders gig so you can cat-sit? Might wanna rethink that decision, Einstein.

The man got to the weekend before I did. My turn to stay home. Believe me, cat sitting is not what I'd choose over a Breeders gig.

Aren't there teenagers in England? Isn't there a responsible boy or girl who can come feed your cats a couple of times for a couple of, what do you call them, quids? Breeders, Surfer, Breeders.

There are indeed - just not one I'd ever allow into my home nevermind to feed my cats. It's okay - I figured out and planned enough distractions and fun to not think of the Breeders for that weekend.

I like them, not just 'cos I know one of them.

Steve Lamacq said it's one of the best demos he has ever heard. Wowzers!

An old Breeders article that I hadn't seen before. Apparently the source of the now infamous

'The Breeders make a unique music that invites the listener to recognize that every moment of life is capable of containing at the same time the beauty of sunrise, the tragedy of deceit, the comedy of a pratfall and the mania of a drag race.'

Ha! Written by Steve Albini, apparently! And there was me thinking it was the work of some coked up medai studies graduate.
