I've boughten a Garrison AG-20 a while back. I've only noticed recently that there is buzzing around the 13th and 14th frets of the guitar.. I was thinking of adjusting the truss rod, but I'm not sure how to properly do it. If any of you guitar experts have any advice, it'd be much appreciated.

It's either from
playing your guitar too hard with your teeth
or guitar-sword-fighting with your brother.

If you are unfamiliar or uncertain, maybe unconfident or incompetent, see a guitar tech. They exist so that you always have someone else to blame.
Best case scenario, you can fix it with a slight truss rod adjustment. Alternate scenario, it can be fixed with a fret polishing or levelling. Worst case scenario you are experiencing the dreaded fret board hump and need a neck reset. Most guitars' necks have little support where the body starts and are often constructed from a separate piece of wood which doesn't always age or flex along with the rest of the neck. Techs will do everything including a refret or a special refret that can straighten the neck before a reset.
Do NOT let any hack do polishing, levelling, refret or reset. Consult with local musicians who own lovely instruments, especially the Blues crowd, they are often gear heads. They will be aware of who is currently doing nice work. Guitar repair work is hard because a tech always has to be on his game, lots of things get in the way especially life's distractions. One bad job and every musician in town will know, because musicians are prone to gossip. Ask "Who is your guitar tech?"
Still, a truss rod adjustment is not that difficult to do, I've done it on the most dispensable of my guitars.

| Ha, was listening to the Cleveland show that Pixiesdiscs are giving away with purchases. And on the Surf version of 'Wave', then Man's acoustic is buzzing aplenty. Happens to the best! |
