I'm pretty safe in general, but I've been known to have the odd moment... I tend to drive pretty fast, but not too fast as to be crazy.
How's that for a slice of fried gold? |

I'm an excellent driver. Dad let me drive slow on the driveway every Saturday. I'm an excellent driver. |

Oh let it linger |

I don't know. I suppose I'm not too bad. I've been driving for about 20 years and only been involved in three accidents (none serious) - one of which was my bad. Other than that, I think I've had one speeding ticket and I seem to recall one parking ticket. Considering I live in a city where the roads are covered in ice about five months of the year I guess I'm doing all-right...

I am a good but not excellent driver.
I enjoy driving on open roads.

I try to avoid traffic at all costs, I view all other vehicles as potential land mines. Way too many folks out there eating, on the FUCKING phone or both. After 25+ yrs. driving I'm still amazed daily by some of the stuff I see other drivers do.

Have you ever noticed that anyone driving slower than you is an asshole. And anyone driving faster than you is a FUCKING MANIAC! |

I'm getting my license in about two months. Word to the wise, stay of the streets of new jersey (as if you'd want to be there in the first place).
You run all kinds of red lights except the ones on the street. When you run out of exits you can always count sheep. |

I was a professional driver back when I was 23.
(Courier-ha)
Driving fast as hell while typing in a computer, reading Mapsco pages while shuffling packages and occasionally actually watching the road and the street lights. Supervisor called me in after they put tracking devices on our trucks to warn me that I really needed to think about driving the speed limit and thinking about safety. No tickets or accidents while I did it though.

i was a professional driver once as well. delivering pizzas.
guess what, if you see a pizza delivery guy carrying a pizza through your apartment complex, it's NOT that funny or original to say "is that for me?", though you may think it is |

Did you ever add any of your own toppings en route? Now THAT would be funny.

For me, staying in one's lane on the freeway is no measure of driving. Nor is being the good citizen of the road, respecting the signals, allowing distance, and the like. A rat can be trained to stay in a lane. Here in the American West one can drive, be it at 90 mph for an hour in the open desert or tracing a line on winding Sierran two-laners. Driving is a matter of optimization and safety a la herd is a living death. The bovine would feel safe, but hardly do they ever. To drive is to bare teeth.
Not to mock parallel parking, for it is of the same geometry. Though I have mastered that art, here I would bow to floop, as principled nod to the man. |

I guess I'm not a bad driver. I'm usually pretty safe, anyway. I totally suck at maneuvering of any kind, though.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |
