I got wasted today with a mate whilst watching the cricket, and for some reason we started thinking about the equator (thats how exciting a game of cricket is). He was saying that in Northern and Southern hemisphere water spirals down the plug hole in different directions. At first I thought that he was taking the piss, but then funnily enough another mate popped into the bar and bizarely mentionned the same thing.
What happens to bath water on the equator? Is there any chance that some SH, NH and Equator dweller FB posters can fill their baths up, and time how long it takes for the water to disappear. Obviously you have to state the size of your bathtub, and how deep you are going to fill it so that the experiment is worthwhile.
Right I'm off to bed to dream about plug holes.
This is a high class bureau de change, not some Punch & Judy show on the seafront at Margate! |

I think that on the equator it doesn't spiral at all. And anti-clockwise here in the north.
No power in the 'verse can stop me

I don't understand why some people are fascinated by this. |

This reminds me of the Simpson's Australia episode, were they're in the American embassy and they have the toilet rigged up so the water flushes the other way! :D |

Hehe, thanks Carl. I knew it reminded me of something.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Recently, I saw the episode which inspired your username, HPM!
Funniest scene ever;
Grandpa Simpson: "Mmmm, I can't wait to eat that monkey!" |
