So OldMan and all other attendants of this convention, after a few days off without posting and time to look into your memories:

is there anything else you care to share?

Hey Kella, yeah, I'll come up with something again soon. 'been really busy last couple of weeks. Maybe thedude or Vicki and Lea can post some more pics. By the way, those videos of GOODBYE LORRAINE and SING FOR JOY posted by dude are really special. That link has already expired. I'll upload it to "yousendit.com" and post the link here in the next day or two if no one else does.

Here's another publicity shout out for them, go to this link and check 'em out. Joshua Black Wilkins turned me on to these guys and I'm diggin their new CD, "Nobody's Darlings" [LUCERO "Nobody's Darlings" [http://luceromusic.com/av.cfm . Check out the 5 full songs and the 2 videos at their website] There gonna be here Saturday night, August 6th with "The Legendary Shack Shakers" and "The Reverend Horton Heat", playing a parking lot gig at the Mercy Lounge, and then word has it that LUCERO will play an inside show late night in the Mercy Lounge after the parking lot gig.

Going to see Lucero Tues. night in San Fran. I might be the oldest guy at the all ages show, but I don't give a shit. If anyone asks, I'll just say an old man in a coffee can sent me.

Ah Yeah Scruvs, you're gonna dig them live, full of energy, good songs to play live

You gotta post up here tomorrow and let me know how it was ( let me know if they play "Noon as Dark as Midnight", I've seen them twice and they've yet to play it)

It should be a blast, ENJOY!

What a great show. They filled Slim's which Ben humbly said was a little big for them. Decibully and Blackpool Lights were cool, but Lucero rocked. They played a set for about 45 minutes, then they switched up and starting playing requests for another 45mins - 1 hour. They went over about 20 minutes which was cool for everyone but Slim's. We hit the bar down the street after the show with Ben and Roy and tried to fill em up with whiskey to get em through the rest of the tour.

I asked Ben about "noon as dark as midnight" he said they never play it, except once in Denver.

One of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about, jammin out 2 hours with Lucero in a small club,
and then goin out getting drunk with the boys in the band.

Hey man, you gotta tell me all about it, the women, the fights, the rock n roll,
and any interesting tales to tell. Either post it up here or email me.

I forgot I made it onto Brian's camera. He still has it set on Central time. I won't tell you which one's me. Maybe I'll convert a couple of Lucero fans.
