Got mine from Stargreen, eventually. They appeared to start selling a good five mins before Seetickets. Crashed once but I've got the confirmation and all. Yeah! |

Erm, no. The site did say that the confirmation email could take several hours due to demand. Seems stupid not to get your reference number immediately. I took a screengrab of my confirmation, just in case, though I doubt that's worth much if things go pear-shaped.

Good idea - I got a screenprint, but I checked my emails immediately, and there it is, order confirmation from Stargreen. It's crusty as hell, for sure (have you seen their offices?!) but I like Stargreen.
How's that for a slice of fried gold? |

Yeah, I think it's just rear circle in Manchester by now.
It's about half the size of Alexandra Palace, isn't it? |

probably. unfortunately there's no where bigger in manchester apart from the M.E.N. arena (as far as i know), and that's quite simply too big. i was considering going down to london but it would mean taking 2 days off work and i'm not sure the gf could.

the apollo holds 3500 while the arena is about 10,000-12,500 with standing. id say the biggest is the gmex which holds around 15000 all standing, the last indoor place the pixies played in manchester.

I'd have felt bad about it.
I feel bad not having tickets mind, but I would have felt terrible.

Manchester had sold out through Alive (the company which is linked from the Apollo web site for tickets) just as I finished placing my order at 9.08 am. I checked out all the other online sites just afterwards out of curiosity, and only rear circle seats were left, if any at all. Perhaps they kept some back, though God knows why.
I see some have already found their way on to eBay, e.g.:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16067&item=6550007665&rd=1&ssPageName=WD4V
How can you sell something you don't actually possess at the moment? |
