Frank has a rude smile on his face, he knows there's something going on down there! Dave and Joey are trying to look casually dignified! |

three new gigs they say, there are only two. When I listened earlier and they said "The pixies have anounced three new gigs" I checked the website and it's only two and the one we've all known about for ages.
also the usual "there will be an album" malarky
and you're questioning the sciences and questioning religion you're looking like an idiot and you no longer care.

Stargreen says Pixies on sale this Saturday - no mention of where or when they're playing - but it must be the Manchester & Ally Pally gigs. I look forward to the same chaos and disappointment as last year....

What's wrong Kitty? If you want me to get you one/however many, just let me know. I will gladly get you one and you can pay me whenever (at the gig if you like).

Thats very sweet of you Mikey, I'm working on my dad at the moment in a sort of subtle
Pops, you know how I passed my exams and got really good marks and you said you were proud... how about letting that fatherly pride surface in a pixies ticket or two hmmmm
I thought it was kind of subtle.

Yep, Saturday 9am through the usual outlets.
Stargreen usually does the job, try seetickets.com, gigsandtours.com, ticketweb.co.uk...

I got them online within a couple of minutes for the first Brixton gig.
I can't believe they are going on sale on Saturday morning. I am out tonight for a heavy one. I suppose I can go straight back to bed after. It won't take long.

"It won't take long."
You hope! It took me five hours to finally get some White Stripes tickets today. The Pixies tickets will be in BIG demand - expect a similarly frustrating experience tomorrow!

Pixies for sale (Friday July 29, 2005 04:00 PM)
Tickets for the Pixies UK tour dates go on-sale tomorrow morning, as the band continue to debate plans for a new album.
The band are playing three shows in the UK as part of their European tour, plus two appearances at the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds.
Their European tour concludes at London's Alexandra Palace on August 31, when the reformed legends are expected to go into the studio to record their first new album in 14 years.
Speaking to MTV recently, frontman Frank Black commented: "We gotta do something else if we're going to go out there and continue to make money,"
"I mean, we could keep doing it the way we're doing it, but it might….at some point, we'll be overstaying our welcome, so to speak, as the reunited band.
Black concluded: "We have to either stop being reunited and go back to our lives or do something vital and relevant."
Pixies' European tour calls at:
August 2005
17 Paredes De Coura Festival 19 Hasselt Pukkelpop 20 Biddinghuizen Lowlands Festival 21 Erfurt Highfield Stadium 23 Dublin Lansdowne Road Stadium 25 Paris Rock En Seine 26 The Carling Weekend: Reading Festival 27 The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival 28 Edinburgh Meadowbank Stadium 30 Manchester Apollo 31 London Alexandra Palace

PIXIES ANNOUCE FINAL UK TOUR DETAILS
PIXIES have announced final details of their return to the UK this summer.
The band will play a trio of live dates, including a show at London’s Alexandra Palace on August 31.
The shows are part of the band’s European tour, and, as revealed on NME.COM earlier this year, their trio of UK gigs will kick off at Edinburgh’s Meadowbank Stadium on August 28 as part of T On The Fringe. There will also be a performance at Manchester Apollo the following night (30).
Tickets for the UK gigs will go on sale tomorrow morning (July 30) at 9am.
For ticket availability, go to NME Tickets or call them on 0870 1 663 663.
As previously reported on NME.COM, before kicking off their European dates at Portugal’s Paredes De Coura Festival (August 17) Pixies will play their first ever all-acoustic set at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island (August 6).
Pixies' European shows are:
Paredes De Coura Festival (August 17) Hasselt Pukkelpop (19) Biddinghuizen Lowlands Festival (20) Erfurt Highfield Stadium (21) Dublin Lansdowne Road Stadium (23) Paris Rock En Seine (25) The Carling Weekend: Reading Festival (26) The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival (27) Edinburgh Meadowbank Stadium (28) Manchester Apollo (30) London Alexandra Palace (31) |

Mine from Stargreen - it actually seems a lot easier this time than for Brixton.
I say this all very nonchalantly...
I'm going to see the Pixies!
