is officially the coolest Frank Black song EVER! That's right, though six months ago I would have thought this would be impossible, it's COOLER THAN "WESTERN STAR"! I can't wait 'til Tuesday!

Go Daisy!
I was JUST listening to it and thinking what an amazing song it is, NimrodsSon. Such great lyrics. And the flipside of Lone Child, don't you think?

God I love this song. I sing like a fool when I listen to it in my car. My fave on honeycomb.

Kathryn!! Very cool I see it!!! :)
Marsist... I a so sorry to hear. That really sucks. Hmmm maybe we can think of a way to get you a copy. The first thing that comes to mind is maybe selling some old cds or clothes.
Don't worry we'll figure something out! |

Clothes, that's a good idea! Do you have a store called Plato's Closet near you? They give you cash for old clothes. I once came out of there with $45 cash for a bunch of clothes I never wear. Also, many record stores have deals where you can trade in perhaps 5 or 6 used CD's to get one new one. I just made thirty dollars cutting someone's grass, but it's probably too late in the summer to ask people if you can cut their grass. You could always have a one-day garage sale tomorrow, though it likely won't be very successful without any advance advertisement. Many used musical instrument stores will give you cash for old things, same for many used bookstores (though the majority of them just give you store credit), and then you could always sell some stuff to a pawn shop. Occasionally, I'll find a lot of money just digging through the pockets of pants I haven't worn in a while and finding money I forgot to take out. You could dig around your house for loose change--you'd be surprised how much you can find! That's all I can think of right now.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the part where he sings, "I'm a big guy, can we try this?" That one line is just so cool (and the rest of the song as well. Then "You burn inside me like a star, an atom in my heart." And then the little guitar thing in the intro. I could listen to this song forever!

What's so great about Atom In My Heart? It's not bad at all but it might be my least fave of HC. Maybe it's a grower but it hasn't clicked yet.

Hey Guitar Man, sorry late getting here, I've been distracted. Yeah, I think you're absolutely correct, we do got us a bofoor there at the 2:16-2:18 point in the song. Good ears Boy! I'm not sure I would've ever heard that one without notice.
I really enjoy this song, and once again, you're right, this one is singalongalicious (Honeycomb and Sing for Joy are also excellent singalongalicious songs)
The 'comb just fuckin gets better and better!

[off-topic] Hey NimrodsSon, Scruvs, and The Marsist, that's some funny shit concerning sources of money.
The Marsist, when I was 16 I worked as a dishwasher and busboy at a Japenese restaraunt with a good friend of mine. One of the perks included fine selections of partially finished dishes of steak, shrimp and chicken, along with a few half-empty (or half-full) bottles of Saki. Just hookup with a busboy you can trust and get them to carefully preserve the good-lookin food and drinks for later consumption in the kitchen. That was some pretty good eating and drinking for a teenager. I loved that job!
On second thought, that might not be such a healthy activity, so proceed with caution and don't blame me if you get hepatits or some other communicable disease.

It has an unusual structure.
"Atom in My Heart" goes... verse - chorus - the chorus again - solo (? - I can't remember if there's an instrumental solo here or not) - brief verse - the end. |
