with the pixies touring the past year +, i hadn't had much time to listen to any post pixies/frank solo. i threw in Frank Black and blasted Two Spaces. what a gem that song is! vocals perfect
any idea what the song is about?
other than the usual, what other instruments are used in the recording?

The first part is about going to space, the second part about going to the bottom of the sea.
The two spaces being outer space (outside the Earth's atmosphere) and inner space (beneath the surface of the ocean).
Maybe.

The song is very californian, mexican, surf, cowboy, spacey... lots of elements.

| On an edition of old MTV show 120 Minutes, Frank performed Sir Rockabye, but he played the opening guitar strums of Two Space before going ito it..I love playing that!! :) |

| This song has a very bouncy feel to it, nice thread since I too had just listened to the record yesterday after a while without hearing it. It's overall sound has such a clarity to it. Brilliant mastering or something. But yes, Two Spaces is definitely one of zee best! |
