No, not sexual ones, rather things that you plain old dislike.
Mine include pop soda, sharks, snakes, bread, rudeness, people who are perpetually late and, my biggest turn off by far, nearly all TV programming.
You?

onions, cigarette smoke, people who take themselves too seriously, political correctness.
i'm including a sexual one: men who shave anything below their necks. yuck.
i am sitting here observing my emotional discomfort. |

heh, I was thinking of starting a thread about smells you dislike after getting an overpowering whiff of wet dog whilst I was running today.
I too loathe when people make a habit out of being late. Other things I dislike are smoking, mushrooms, UB40, heights, poor customer service and wasps.

people who are prissy when they are cutting up their food and eating coupled with (always seems to be) people who make disgusting noises when they do eat
having no respect for personal space annoys me, also mullets.
and you're questioning the sciences and questioning religion you're looking like an idiot and you no longer care.

I'm turned of by girls who act slutty. I had a girlfriend who though acting slutty (dancing slutty) would make me attracted to her. Useless to say that it was all the opposite, sadly for the two of us. |

Heavy traffic, foods I don't like mixed with ones I do, war, websites that won't load properly, people who don't think for themselves, those ugly shell necklaces that frat boys wear, prejudice...I'm sure there are more. A lot of stuff bothers me.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

UB40 (good one llama)
For me: toe nail polish, tube tops, tandem bikes, people who clip their nails in public, people who talk loudly in public about the plots of movies, people who are always late (stealing one from Kathryn) |

If I could I'd post that picture of my toes again. Instead, I'll quote Whitney Houston by way of Dolly Parton and say, "I will always love you."

people with out any class... including being rude to others.
mean snotty cliquey people.
people who yell mean things.
puppy kickers and domestic/child abusers.
petty theifs that are just after a thrill.
people who beg for $$ when the can just as well work.
people who come to this country in their retired years to milk the system and end up with an apartament in the salvation army with a much better view and location than ours...which is kind of mean and snotty of me. lol |

Well it's a good thing we can't post the pictures anymore, cause I just got some promo pictures back for my solo acoustic shows which feature me with a goatee and a freshly shaven head.

some specific bad grammar all involving pronouns:
using a nominative pronoun when an objective pronoun is needed (i.e. between you and I). I don't mind the reverse (i.e. Scruvs and me saw the pixies).
improper use of reflexive pronouns (i.e. I'm good. How about yourself?)
spelling, capitalization, and punctuation dont bother me, but i do think we should drop the apostrophe in contractions. itll save time.

Possibly. Minus several, several pounds, since I've been losing weight. And my hair is really thick, so even if my head is shaved, you can still tell it's under there.

foods: celery, sardines, anchovies people: racists, homophobs, sexists, people who's belief systems are based on fear and hatred fashion: sideways hats, baseball caps where the brim is kept unbent and with the sticker still on it (HUGE in the US right now), anarchy shirts bought in malls, teenagers wearing tshirts of bands they've never heard but think they should like (the smiths, ramones, dead kennedys and black flag are the biggest culprits), girls who dress like they're actively trying to get fucked on the spot

Can you clarify what constitutes acting "overly familiar"? Just curious... |

Man, is it ever.

I am shocked at how some parents allow their pre-teen daughters to dress - most recently some of the pint-sized Weezer fans at last night's Weezer/Pixies show. Not even grown women should dress like that, nevermind little girls.

I feel funny explaining this. It makes me so uncomfortable. Um, like when people you hardly know act overly familiar. I don't mean overly friendly or sexual, I mean overly familiar. I'm probably making no sense. I get uncomfortable even trying to describe it. Sorry. I'll think of an example.

Sorry, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, kathryn! I just honestly want to know, because I think I understand what you're getting at...and I think I sometimes might come off that way to people. Though usually I'm just trying to break down what I perceive as "bullshit" societal barriers and just be friendly and establish rapport off the bat. But I'd like you to clarify, because if my tendencies could be seen as annoying or overbearing, I'll definitely consider curbing them from now on! |
