I've got some naproxin, sulindac, atenalol, and I'm out of Tylenol w/ codeine. My back is killing me. By the way, I saw something in one of the advice columns today that was funny. A mother had her children sing their complaints about each other and it made them take it all less seriously. I think there's a positive idea in there somewhere.

Anyway, let's hear about your pills.

I should explain more. My doctor prescribes me Tylenol w/ codeine for low back pain (it's ok). This weekend I was looking through my Physician's Desk Reference and all the beautiful color pictures, wishing that it was a catalog with an order form in the back.

What I'd like are some good painkillers, but my doctor's a pussy when it comes to that. I was hoping that someone out there had some pills lying around that they don't want. If you do, and you want to help out a FB fan, we could get in touch. No big deal, no hassles. I was thinking something like this:
Throw some pills in one of those small padded envelopes (write a made-up return address so you don't have to worry about anything) of course I'd give you money for postage and everything.

The ones I like are: vicodin, percodan, percocet, roxicet, (generic: hydrocodone, oxycodone), morphine, dilaudid, also fentinal patches.

If you could help me out I'd really apreciate it. I know you might be reading this thinking "What a freak, begging for pills on the Frank Black Forum", but really, I'm actually a nice guy, and I figure there's a chance that someone out there has some of these things and doesn't want them and wouldn't mind sending them along.

So anyway, if there's anything you can do, please let me know.

Atenolol is normally used to alleviate myocardial infarction, angina, arrythmia or high blood preesure.
Beta 1 & 2 blocker.

What's in mine: centrum, bayer back and body (not bad), vitamin C, emergen C, some muscle relaxers (sorry, back pain too, need them). Good luck.

Did you exchange?
Can you Mr. Grieves?

Gah, I know that - don't take it if you're asthmatic though.

Anyway, I have omeprazole, budesonide, terbutaline sulphate, ibuprofen, 1 erythromycin tablet, paracetamol and some glucosamine capsules.

Mass Pleeze - well that's just one more thing I don't understand on a long list then :)

Jimmy, my fellow chronic back pain sufferer, you've gotta get some sort of plan in motion here for yourself. You're gonna go nuts if your lack of appropriate medical care has left you in a position to be soliciting here and believe me brother, i do NOT judge, but I fucking empathize, and there's something that's gotta break this cycle for you...
I know what it's like to be so desperate to relieve pain that you'd just about chew your leg off to get rid of it. (name that tune) I just have to think that it's maybe time for some alternate means of treatment in addtion to what your doctor's giving you (which I know is not much but at the same time, the stronger the meds, the longer you'll be wearing on your organs with those meds, they really take a toll in a lot of ways, including reduction of life expectancy and heart disease and a whole myriad of stomach ailments). I myself have at times lusted over the contents of the physician's reference manual (it's got the same reputation as the anarchist's cookbook in certain circles) and I know that if you're already dependant on meds for relief to that point, you're already set up for problems. It's a fucking slippery slope...
Are you degenerative disc or arthrtis or slipped/bulging disc, or what's the diagnosis? you say 'it's OK' but it's clearly not - ?
I dunno, I just feel for you. That's a rough place to be. Depeding upon what the diagnosis is, I might be able to recommend some other modalities or supplements that might be of use.
I know you're likely rolling your eyes going 'she doesn't understand, none of that shit touches the pain' but I do understand, way more than I wish I did, I just wanna offer up what in my experience might help you avoid that slippery slope, because it sucks a lot at the bottom. Nothing cures, not even the most potent pills, but some things can really help.

Those who find themselves ridiculous, sit down next to me.

Llamadance, a couple years ago, my doctor said I had high blood pressure and put me on the atenalol and something called hydrochlorizine (I'm sure I spelled that wrong). Everyone thinks it's a little strange ( me included )to be prescribed that at my age ( late twenties ) but I'm pretty confident in my doctor.

MissMaceo, Thank you for your post. It's nice to know someone understands. I've given it some thought and decided that for now I'm going to take a break from self-medicating. I've already gone beyond pills, all the way to needles and I'm tired of driving to the ghetto a couple times a day and cooking my breakfast in a spoon.

It is unusual to have high BP at that age, but not unheard of. I've had a couple of brushes with it too (mid 30's), but it turned out to be White Coat Hypertension, which means my BP goes up markedly when it's measured. They had to give me a 24hr monitor to check in the end. I guess the other pill one is a thiazide. It's a big step to start someone as young as you on medication as you'll probably be on it for the rest of your life.
Good luck with your back as well, sounds terrible.

i'm sorry you're going through some hard times. you should check and see if there's a Goodwill or Salvation Army thrift store near you. you could probably find a frying pan for a very reasonable price. no one should have to cook breakfast with such a small kitchen utensil

To be honest, yeah, I've got some back pain, but it isn't as bad as i tell my doctor it is- I just like pills and dope. The good news is: I'm quitting the dope (and I have no way of getting any more pills anyway).

I've decided that after spending the last four years doped up and numb.

You want to hear something funny? The dope really messes with your sex drive. There's no problem getting and staying hard, but you can fuck for about 40 minutes before you come, and jerking off could take just as long or longer. But since I stopped taking the dope a week and a half ago, when I jerk off I come in less than 2 minutes.

But the really funny thing is (remember I'm 29 years old) I've been so numb for so long that my penis is very sensitive now, I've had FOUR wet dreams in the last week and a half. That's about as many as I had total the whole time I was a teenager.

I'm enjoying it- it's the only good thing, so far, about being clean.
