This doesn't do Bob justice (only I could) but it's a good start:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Mould
Also, from the July Spin magazine
"Black Francis claimed that when he formed the Pixies he owend five albums, three by Husker Du. Still Hart was chastised for accidentally eating Francis' dressing-room yogurt after a festival in the 90s."

Then you should have no problem worshipping in the altar of Bob, where I am always on my knees.

It is great to see this thread being mentioned in Bob's weblog. Kathryn and Llamadance, this forum's longtime Bob Mould champions, must be thrilled.
Up to now I've heard a few tracks from Body Of Song. All excellent. I'm waiting for my deluxe version from yeproc records. www.yeproc.com These guys have released some good records including the latest Go Betweens album.

Bob's new album is awesome! Especially the deluxe version. I am not into electronic music much. But this is head and shoulders above modulate. The Clash gave us 3 CD's of dub on Sandaninsta so Bob can filter in all the electronic music he likes. It is the same punk rock concept to me. This album works becuase it sounds like Bob is playing in a band again. Hopefully Bob will change his mind on tour dates and come to San Diego. I'd love to see the lineup put together for the tour. I have met Bob twice after shows in San Diego. Great guy! Who cares about his sexual orientation. I did not care when I was going to Husker and Black Flag shows. I don't care now. I am glad to see he is back in top form. The current music scene is weak and we need more interesting artist like Bob.

Hi all,
just thought I'd contribute:-
Bob Mould is great, I'm a long time fan. I saw him at the Sheffield Leadmill a few years back - my ears bled afterwards, 'twas the loudest gig I ever went to (the 2nd being FB and the Cs). Anyway, I'm awaiting my special edition CD (available from amazon in the UK from the 25th July) and I already have my tickets to go see him in London in September. Anyone else from the UK going? |

It is fun looking at all the pictures of BLOWOFF, isn't it? Or HIRSUTE as it should be renamed.
