Who's in?
There was a 10-member limit last time and I think that's a good round number to go with...the postage did get a bit pricey last round but was very well worth it.
Please no: Pixies, FrankBlack, Amps, Martinis, Breeders, KD 6000 etc...we should all have their full catalogs anyway:)

I'd like to participate, the only trouble is that I definitely won't have time to make my mix before July. I have a shitload of work to do until July 4th, and then it'll be a bit better , and I'll have more free time in August. So I don't think I'll be able to send CDs before end of July/beginning of August. If you're OK with this then I'm in.

PS: I'm not going to put in any KD 6000, but it's kind of a weird rule. It means no Pere Ubu, no Miracle Legion, no Tanya Donelly...

About the "no FB" policy... I'm not against exceptions. For instance, Brian's all-instrumental mix, though excellent, would've been even greater with Amnesia somewhere in between. It's not about putting some FB pseudo-rarities (that we would all have anyway), it's about making a mix that flows nicely.

I'd like to participate, but I also would prefer if I could wait at least awhile before sending mine out. So if I could be near the end I'd love to join you guys, the last one I was involved in was very good in terms of exposing me to new music.

I guess we could also do this totally online...we could ftp our music (in order) to a folder on a server with our artwork and everything and let folks download it from there...that way we could increase the # of folks who might join in the swappin'...

i'd rather do snail mail, but we could make it an option - like you can choose - so anyone who would rather a cd gets sent a cd, the others just download it. that way costs will be kept down as well.
on second thought, maybe i do like the uploading thing. who's ftp could we use?

oh, i like the idea of both swap-vectors...getting CDs in the post is fun and cool...online just makes it instant and cheap. (and doesn't necessarily mean that others will download all the tunes you want to give them and listen to them in the order you wanna). should we decide now--discuss amongst ourselves--or what? also, ftp'ing means we could theoretically let more folks in to trade.... |

Did Tre confirm her participation? I kinda agree with Homers in that we should keep a limit of 10 or 11 people but I don't want to look like a jerk for leaving Superabounder behind.
Bout the snail mail thing, I'd much prefer this over mp3 files (although I'd love to get all the mixes from the previous swaps in mp3 format, the tracklists looked great). It's too cool to get CDs in my mailbox.
