do you eat breakfast?

do you go out for breakfast? where?

i like toasted pb & j sammiches lately.

i usually don't eat breakfast out when i'm at home...on travel, I've run across some good places to eat:

*LA..just tried The Pantry Kitchen Cafe downtown...pretty good.
*Boston..I like going down to (i KNOW it's touristy-shut up) Fanueil to get pastry.
*Dallas..I can't remember the name of the place but their mexican omelets are tasty.
*Houston..I can't remember the name of the place either but I like their biscuits...buttery and yummy.
*Seattle..go down to PikePlace and get a bite...and stop at one of the 450 starbucks in that town for coffee--or seattle's best.

PikePlace has some good clam chowder. Or at least they did in 1995 when I was there.

I only eat breakfast when I'm travelling on business for some reason...and I'll eat a lot! Usually normal breakfast foods like scrambled eggs with mushrooms and cheese, home-fried potatoes and onions, yogurt, fruit, piles of bacon, buscuits and gravy, sausages, toast with butter and jam, cornbeef hash....damn you, Toba! Now I'm hungry!!!!!!!!!!!

I always appreciate mention of LA's Original Pantry. Some people hate the place but I still love it. Talk about fast turnaround-- I once sat at the counter and timed the service. From the moment I sat on the stool to the time my food was in front of me: 3 minutes!

Whenever we're in the SF Bay area, we always make a trip to The Homemade Cafe. It's in Berkeley, corner of Sacramento & Dwight. Probably my favorite breakfast food of all.

I am not a breakfast person. At least not when I first get up but a few hours later I am very into having (or going out for) brunch. During the week I usually get a bagel and an iced coffee around 11, so I don't know if that is very breakfast like or not.

I can't start a day without breakfast. Usually it's coffee (black, no sugar), orange juice (not freshly squeezed but 100% natural), chocolated milk or a banana milkshake when I have time and bananas (or strawberries like I did this morning), toasted baguette with Nutella or jam.

So basically you just drink a lot of liquid and slosh around all morning, Denis?

I make sure I eat breakfast everyday, most important, blah blah blah. I usually have a bowl of Special K Red Berries. Tasty.

Oh lord, Hampton Inns are the worst! I had to stay in one in West Palm Beach last November...horrid. I guess they are not that bad, but I'm spoiled. Usually my company springs for Courtyard by Marriott's, Sheraton, or Hilton. One of the best hotel restaurants I've eaten at was in New Orleans at the downtown Sheraton. It was called Roux Bistro. New York has a fabulous little hole in the wall restaurant in the East Village on Spring Street called Milady's. And in Las Vegas, Washington DC and Dallas there is my favorite steakhouse called Smith & Wollensky's. Speaking of Las Vegas, the Rio Resort has a killer seafood buffet called Village Seafood. It is buffet, but it's high class stuff! And in the Mandalay Bay, theres an excellent Chinese fusion place called China Grill. On St. Kitts Island in the Caribbean, on a little beach called Turtle Bay, there is a small open place called Turtle Beach Bar & Grill that serves up the best lobsters in the world. At the Port of Our Lucaya on Grand Bahama, look for an Italian bistro called Cappucino's. And for the best hamburger in the world, seek out McAleer's Pub on 81st and Columbus Ave. in the upper West Side of NYC. Damn you Toba! Now I'm reaaalllllllly hungry!

The Pork Store in San Francisco on Haight Street - might be kinda touristy, but some of the most memorable breakfasts of my life.
(I think it was) Ortega's on the Plaza in Sante Fe - that served a damn fine chilli with their breakfasts.

At home it's oatmeal or fruit, sometimes a soft boiled egg or if I have ripe avocado in, then Floop's breakfast tacos.

I had to kick my Special K habit - there's stuff in there that I can't resist - I could eat a whole box in a week.

And I almost forgot - Raw - weirdest breakfast I've ever had - scambled egg made out of white seaweed, bacon out of zucchini and loads of other stuff I can't think of at the moment - great experience and fabulous food.

I never eat breakfast. That's not very healthy, I know, but it's just the way it is.

I love traditional breakfast foods, but I don't eat them that often. Occasionally I'll make myself an omelette. I like Denny's and IHOP because I can get those foods there without getting up early.

I'll often have yogurt or instant oatmeal for breakfast. When I get a late start, I'll sometimes just start out with lunch or dinner. I do need to have some food before really doing anything, though.

Porridge, used to have sugar on it but started to feel and energy lull around 11 when I did so stopped. Sugar was harder to quit than cigarettes or alcohol - last week I dreamed of Nutella.

I always eat breakfast. Most of the time it is something easy to grab and go. Cliff bars are my old reliable stand-by, but sometimes I will throw yogart and a ziplock bag of granola in my bag and munch on that during rounds at work. When I am really feeling fancy I will get a bagel with cream cheese from the starbucks in the lobby of the hospital.

Weekends are different. Many times I will make all sorts of egg dishes for me and the Mr. And on Sundays when we go to church we usually will find some laid back spot for brunch.

One of our favorite places is called "Juniors" they have the BEST mustard seed scramble.
