Who else is going to see Pixies at Reading (or Leeds) Festival this year. It's going to be amazing. Nice to see that they can headline it again (I wasn't there last time but oh well). It's so good to actually see them deservedly headlining a festival this year.
Lets all get hyped up about it early!

Hell yeah! We always do. Are you just staying for the Friday still?
I'd hate to have to leave and have that journey home at that time.
Well anyway, one of the tents we are taking has three seperate pods so you are welcome to stay in one of those if you like.

| yeah, i've got a friday ticket, i was supposed to be being met at the entrance of the festival, when it ended, but thats not happening now, but oooohhh, thankyou monkey thatd be really cool if your sure you wouldnt mind? i recokon theyd let me sneak out early saturday morning if i did my patented 'im all innocent and confused' look. Whaddaya think? Just over two months left....its like being a kid waiting for christmas! |

Of course we don't mind. Oh yeah there will be no problem getting out the next day at all. They don't check wrist bands on the way out. I should mention that we will probably all be buzzing so much from the concert (not to mention intoxicated from the day's drinking) that we will be dancing in the dance tents after the gig. There's no early to bed for us at Reading. More drinks, fun and frolics to be had.
I swear zub zub, this is gonna be the best Reading ever (and that takes some doing). The whole time I will know that I have a holiday to look forward to straight after that weekend. But most importantly.........THE PIXIES ARE PLAYING! YAY!

Just looking at the line-up now for the Friday and I think I may pop into the city centre for the early part of the day. There is nobody I really fancy that much early on and I like to get proper food, drink and use of a good toilet at least once or twice. I'll be going on Thursday but not Saturday and Sunday so Firday is a good opportunity.
As long as I get back in time to see The National, then The Killers, then Queens Of The Stone Age and then of course the Pixies. Won't know the order of the Carling stage until we get there so I am not sure about that.
Anyhoo, they are my rough plans for now.

ah friday is a busy time for me, with the exceptions of elbow and the coral, I want to see the weddoes for nostalgia purposes, dropkick murphys really impressed me last year, a couple of acts in the carling tent, the cooper temple clause and then the killers, who I loved on CD but had heard bad reports about live, then after watching the likes of glastonbury and live 8, I think they will make a much tastier warm up than the delays did last year.

i got a pretty serious raise and i'll probably be able to book a day off and i saw flights to manchester for $400 canadian including taxes (holy shit!). so i'll be watching closely, maybe make the trek.
