I thought this was a thread about girls who lick their boyfriends' ears, which is something I truly appreciate. Nevermind.

"I like Lou Reed," she said, sticking her tongue in my ear.

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

Great show that was.

I love the story because it reminds me of the night I described. Angelo dove into the crowd a couple of times, and it impressed me more than any other time I've seen it. I don't know, there's just something about him that absolutely seizes my attention whenever I see him - though the whole band is pretty interesting to watch. That first night after one of the opening bands played I went to the washroom, and coming out with my head down I plowed straight into the sternum of one physically gigantic bandmember, who just gave me the hugest smile ever. I felt like a geek so I just smiled and hurried away; I've always wished I'd stood around and tried to talk with him, because he seemed like he'd be up for it. Too late now.

Nothing is ever something.

By the way, if Mike's still watching, Spoon played Car Radio during the encore. The show was (think of one word...) impressive.

Nothing is ever something.

Helmet last year in Houston, in a small club. Same club where I've seen FB twice by the way. I've rarely felt so great. Maybe because the crowd was not full of teenagers...

My first 'real' show was a New year's Eve show wth Helmet opening for Primus.
I was so nervous when the pit started....but by the end of the night, it took two of my friends to pull me outta that pit. That was absolutely mind-blowing, SUCH the perfect concert to initiate me into big show.

I saw jane's for the first time at Coachella, having missed them earlier in life due to living too far away from the city. but the BEST Jane's show I saw was opened by Stereo MC's (who also were amazing) and it was awesome. Strippers and debauchery everywhere. (see I am also pro-boobies, just in context, reference: 'ridiculous' thread)

Best show I was too stupid to enjoy: Johnny Cash at a tiny little rodeo. Was too fucked up to have absorbed it all and I've kicked myself ever since.

I can totally relate. I'm not a pit person, but I made an exception for Helmet. If you're interested with an excellent live video of a concert of helmet, give me a shot at gauthy@gmail.com and I'll guide you either to an ftp or a bittorrent.
