Anyone else going?

I just ordered my ticket today so I am in the center section, row V.

Is this the first outdoor show?

I've never been to this place but it seems really fucking nice.

I'm excited, except for the drive.

I read someone's recap of a show they went to so I decided I had to go see it for myself. Word up homies.

I don't know how you got those good of tickets so late, I ordered mine 2 months ago and my seats aren't much better than yours. Ticketmaster is so fucked up.

In Northern Va.- Herndon. I guess if you only by a single ticket that could make a difference, but I only got 2 and they gave me seats 84 and 86 so there is a single in between us. I'm sure it won't be a problem though.

I'll be there...row 2 center.

Clarification on seat numbering...I think they do right side of house in even numbers, left side in odd numbers, so you are likely sitting next to the other ticket holder.

I'm coming from Salisbury, a long drive, but it will be worth it!

I'm on my way. 500 miles of driving, this shit better not be cancelled like the last 2 times I made this drive. Way too much driving to be alone, wish me luck. Shit, fuckin pray for me, please.
Cya soon.

and on that note:

I don't know where I'm goin
but I sure know where I've been
hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time
but here I go again, here I go again.

Tho' I keep searching for an answer
I never seem to find what I'm looking for.
Oh Lord, I pray you give me strength to carry on
'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams.

Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time.
Just another heart in need of rescue
waiting on love's sweet charity
an' I'm gonna hold on for the rest of my days
'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams.

Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time
but here I go again, here I go again,
here I go again, here I go.

An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time.

Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
'cos I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams.

Here I go again on my own
goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.
An' I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time
but here I go again, here I go again,
here I go again, here I go,
here I go again.

Highlight of show, after second song (wave) Frank stops the show and starts talking about some lady from Topeka, Kansas. Neither the band nor any of us know what is going on. Then a bunch of people come onto the stage with large picture frames turned backwards. And then frank explains that some lady named Suzy something from Topeka Kansas bought the cd today that made Surfa Rosa go Gold. I was pretty happy to have been there to see that. Frank said the record people contacted him and wanted to rush right down and present the gold records to the band, so I guess Frank decided to make a surprise out of it, pretty cool.

Anyway, I fuckin made it.

too tired to write I am...

"It’s all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems we’re wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I’d drive all night just to get back home

Chorus:
I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it’s not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you’re all alone all you do is think

Chorus

I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back
I play for keeps, ’cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still I’m standing tall
I’ve seen a million faces an I’ve rocked them all

I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted dead or alive
I’m a cowboy, I got the night on my side
I’m wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Allison

finally it surfaces in their set!

I didn't make it to this show, but that's because I've already seen the Pixies three times (once during the warm-up, and both nights that they came to DAR Constitution Hall in DC). Unless they start playing a serious amount of Bossa and Trompe, I'm kind of done with going to their shows for the time being. There's only so many times I can see the "Pixies Greatest Hits" setlist.

Wanted Dead or Alive

Bon Jovi - circa 1986. I don't think the Pixies will do a cover version.

This started the "Unplugged" craze. At the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora performed this with just their acoustic guitars, giving the network the idea for the "Unplugged" series.
