Yay tre!
Yay darwin! (though I cannot tell your happy vignette to my husband, darwin. My daughter still sobs into her pillow at night, thinking about that trade and Edgar's trecherous ways.)

People don't watch baseball to watch baseball so much as talk about it do they? that's charming.

I'm wearing a skirt I couldn't fit over my knees this time last year.

Fire made it good.

And that's a good thing?

And all the drugs that I don't have the guts to take
To soothe my mind so I'm always sober
Always aching, always heading towards
Mass suicide, occult figurines

It's good cos I fit into it now - though it's a cruel duel edged sword in that I've had to throw out most of my clothes and I've got a freezing winter to face and nothing to wear.

It means it's a shame that you have no clothes to wear.

Just checky the sarky levels there.

Trying to see if I can somehow get away with doing some form of hibernation for winter to solve that problem.

There's some truth to that. It's a long season. 162 games. Each game is 3 hours long. Only a hardcore nut would watch 162 games (I do), but people like having it there all summer long and watching the ups and downs of their team.

I feel kinship with anyone that likes to talk baseball. I'm sure football (soccer) fans feel the same way, but I wonder if the two groups differ in how much they value history. Baseball is very traditional with reverence for the great players of the past.

A forum member has single handedly restored my self confidence with one email.

(and also made me snort coffee out of my nose with laughter, but that should probably be in the "last thing I needed today thread")

I've seen an electric blue storm cloud over a pink one, both filled here and there with flashing lightnings.
