Why, I can pass for 5 foot 2 when I have those bad boys on!
I have (*cringes, waits for rotten tomatoes to start flying*) more than a dozen
pair just like them. OK, they're identical.

I love these. I saw them in a shop before but they were unreasonably expensive.
Anyways, trends schmends. I'm a more of a jeans-and-tshirt kinda person. This way I don't have to spend a lot of time deciding what to wear each day. |

times, you never ever have to think of what to put on. It's like,
black mini, check, black scoop neck, check, black mary janes,
check. Boom! You're dressed.

First of all, darwin, I should warn you that I can talk about shoes all day.
No, I prolly wouldn't wear Mary Jane flats. Not girlie enough.
Also, the shape of the ballet flats doesn't appear to me. It's too rounded
at the top, whereas the Mary Janes are angled in a way I find pleasing.
And that little leather strap over the top of the foot? Swoon-inducing, really.

Oh my Gosh Kathryn have you tried Dansko Mary Jane's? They can be kinda spendy, but if you go to zappos.com you can get some pretty good deals. Super comfy on the feet!

I've taught myself to zone out while on the way to work otherwise I'd drive myself mad, but I know I'd walked past 4 before I even got on the bus this morning.
Another one that is concerning me is men (usually horribly coked up or is that just saying something about where I'm hanging out at the moment) dressing head to toe. White linen shirt, white linen drawstring trousers, pair of sandals (thankfully no socks) - usually with mirrored shades that look like they've been stolen off their girlfriend. |

After being informed of the ubiquity of said white skirts, I did actually notice a lot of them today, unfortunately none paired with ballet shoes. Do you think it was proximity to the art department which made a difference?
We came to the conclusion that they only really work if you're stick thin.
