In defense of my asparagus pasta, Homers, it's both delicious and quick to make. You can boil water, can't you? That's pretty much all it entails.

The asparagus.
I guess you could have used the knock on the head as an excuse, were it not for that fact that you were often this 'not with it' before.

I KNEW you were gonna say that. I knew I would have to use an emoticon to show you I wasn't riled. I was just being honest, sometimes you are just so clueless.(that enough for ya?)
I like the way you used the old classic "Oh you're so easy to rile" to cover up your lack of a clue. Once again.

What? The room or the dinner? I crack myself up.
Dinner was good I think. I've decided I make the best garlic bread in the world. I had to make bolognese as main course to prove a point (and we decided that no, actually, his bolognese was barely a pale imitation, heheh), and the veggie dish was a similar kind of tomato sauce, but with grilled aubergine and goat's cheese. Good, I think, if not overly revolutionary.

I'd invite Moses, Leonardo da Vinci, L. Frank Baum, and Marilyn Monroe.
Oh, wait. This isn't the dinner party for dead people thread.

What do you put on it before you grill it? And do you grill it directly on the grill or do you wrap it in Reynolds Wrap first?

to be honest, i've never actually done garlic bread on the grill. i was just trying to sound cool. but i read this recipe the other day in my BARBECUE BIBLE and, it sounds convincing to me..
Grilled Garlic Bread With Tarragon And Lemon
Grilling is the best way I know to make garlic bread. The fire crisps the bread and imparts an irresistible smoke flavor. Especially when coupled with the bright licoricey taste of fresh tarragon.
1 baguette 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh tarragon leaves 6 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest a few drops fresh lemon juice 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, at room temp freshly ground black pepper
1. place all ingredients in bowl and stir or whisk until light and fluffy 2. preheat grill to high 3. cut the bread sharply on the diagonal into 1/2 inch thick slices. arrange slices on baking sheet. spread the garlic butter on both sides of the bread slices. 4. grill the bread until golden brown on both sides, 1-2 minutes per side. don't take your eyes off the grill for a second, as the bread will burn quickly. serve at once
i'm guessing you do it on a baking sheet on top of the grill.. otherwise it would probably burn instantly..

I'll be honest, I think it's my own magic touch that makes the best garlic bread... This time I used part-baked baton-style bread, baked it for a little, then cut it into pieces almost, but not quite, all the way through, and added mostly-melted butter with crushed garlic and mixed dried herbs, then baked it a bit longer. Almost exactly how anyone else would make garlic bread in fact, it's just that I do it better.

deleted comment because someone... not mentioning any names here, no no, thought that pointing out this turn of phrase made me sick and wrong. I think we all know who the sick and wrong one is.
so seriously, what does the rest of the post say?
