Hi
I am greeting you from Czech Republic -Europe. I apologize for my bad english.
We have having a rock band since 1995 and the first impulse to do it was the Pixies
music. We have listening it whole time and last year we experienced Pixies in Viena.
We had really great time there!!
But why I am writing. We would like to send our last CD to Frank Black but we dont
know how. Please advise us how do it, thank you.
We are "vypsana fiXa" band and our internet pages are www.vypsanafixa.cz
unfortunately only in czech language but there are some old mp3 records and almost
new video.
So thank you for your answer

I think the best thing to do is to send your cd to his European label, Cooking Vinyl. Maybe you should first contact Bob Allen, the marketing manager, he's a nice guy. I'm sure he'll help you if he can.

What's the old pixies story where someone handed frank a demo after or before one of his shows and he threw it at them...
Why do you want to send it to Frank Black? other than you really like him?

Well, after all FB partly produced the first album of a fan called Jonny Polonsky. He even asked JP to support him on tour...

Where did this come from? Is it mostly true or folklore? There has to be an article about this somewhere... If only we had a sexy nurse to find the article for us... sigh

Frank Black stole one of my song. his new house of the pope is actually a ripp off of a song that was part of a demo-cd I gave him back in 2000. It starts with the same piano chords and rhythm. My song was entitled 'Homeless Priest'...

Yes we really like FB but this is not a reason to send our CD. We have no reason. We simply want it, I cannot explain. It is his choice - to listen to it or throw it. We want to send him our third regular CD no demo.quote:

Since Frank has admitted to sometimes buying the same album multiple times, I guess he's a good person to market to.
